SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE AND TELMISARTAN IN COMBINED TABLET DOSAGE FORM BY USING RP- HPLC METHOD
AbstractA simple, selective, rapid, precise reverse phase high pressure liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of Hydrochlorothiazide, Amlodipine besylate and Telmisartan in tablet dosage form as per ICH guidelines. The wavelength selected for the analysis was 239 nm for amlodipine besylate, telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. The solvents used were methanol and distilled water. The mobile phase 0.05M Potassium dihydrogen ortho-phosphate (pH-3.2), acetonitrile and methanol in the ratio 45:45:10 was used to carry out the separation. Column used was Supelco C18 (250 x 4.6 mm, 5μ). Flow rate was selected as 1ml/min. Retention time for Hydrochlorothizide (HCT), Amlodipine besylate (AML) and Telmisartan (TEL) was found to be 2.9min., 5.1min., 8.2min. The developed method was validated for accuracy, precision, linearity, robustness, ruggedness, specificity. The proposed method can be used for the estimation of these drugs in combined dosage forms.
