ESTIMATION OF NELFINAVIR MESYLATE IN PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORM BY SPECTROFLUORO- PHOTOMETRY
AbstractA new specific, selective and inexpensive spectrofluorophotometric method has been developed for determination of Nelfinavir mesylate in bulk drug and its dosage form. Fluorescence spectrum of Nelfinavir mesylate in methanol showed excitation wavelength at 253 nm and emission wavelength at 508 nm. The calibration curve for Nelfinavir mesylate was found to be linear over the concentration range of 100-225 ng/mL with correlation coefficient of 0.988 for bulk drug. Limit of detection and limit of quantification were found to be 8.42 ng/mL and 28.09 ng/mL respectively. Method was validated as per ICH guidelines and found to be suitable for estimation of Nelfinavir from bulk drug and its pharmaceutical dosage form.
