PHARMACY AND PREGNANCY: A REVIEW
AbstractPregnancy is a state of double danger i.e. any drug that a pregnant woman takes can easily cross placenta and can produce a teratogenic effects on fetus. It can interfere with normal embryonic or fetal development and induce abnormal post natal structure or function. Teratogens alter the genetic function of fetus. This review provides practitioners with summary of information regarding teratology risks for drugs, chemical exposure during pregnancy.
