The aim of this paper is to select the best method for the preparation of nanocrystals by using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (Fuzzy-AHP) methodology. The commonly used methods for the preparation of nanocrystals are Hydrosol, sonoprecipitation, spray freezing into liquid, and Nanomorph®. There are several parameters to take into consideration for the selection of the best method like operational skill, technical information, benefits, expenditure, etc. To improve the traditional AHP, Fuzzy concepts are applied because it is well organized and logical compared to other decision making technique. In order to avoid the controversial of fuzzy ranking process, the α-cut-based method has been used. Based on the results of FAHP it is concluded that sonoprecipitation is the best method for the preparation of nanocrystals. The fuzzy approach gives a more apt and agreeable result compared to the traditional AHP. Our study shows that the FAHP is a suitable and constructive approach to select the best method for the preparation of Nanocrystals. This study reveals that sonoprecipitation method is the...

A major genetic suspect for Alzheimer’s disease is the pathological conformation assumed by Apolipoprotein E4(Apo E4) through intramolecular interaction. The aim of the current study is to synthesize newer potent Apo E4 inhibitors. In the present study, with specific pharmacophoric features of three Hydrogen bond donors and three hydrophobic spheres, a large library of ligands was constructed for Apo E4 inhibitors. The newly designed ligands were subjected for docking studies using Autodock®Tools 1.5.6 and optimized for Lipinski rule of five and further screened by in-silico toxicity studies. Out of that oxazole heterocyclic nucleus and its analogs were chosen for synthesis and characterized for spectral analysis such as IR, NMR, LC-MS. The active compound LS 4 was evaluated for cytotoxicity study through MTT Assay and neuroprotective study against Aβ- L-DOPA toxicity induced SH-5YSY cell line. Compound LS 4 showed 93.81% of neuroprotective activity at...

Deficiency of zinc has been reported in developed and developing countries due to low zinc intake, which also accounts for crops grown in low zinc areas. 2 billion people still remain at risk of zinc deficiency affecting all age groups in spite of proven benefits of adequate zinc nutrition. The study evaluates the effect of dietary zinc deficiency on male Wistar rat erythrocytes for 2-, 4- and 6 weeks and 4 weeks zinc supplementation to the deficient groups. A significant decrease in the total protein of erythrocyte ghost membrane and erythrocyte cell suspension was recorded in zinc deficient groups. Increase (P< 0.05) in erythrocyte ghost membrane protein carbonyl, protein thiol, and lipid peroxidation (TBARS / induced) was observed. Erythrocyte cell suspension OH radical and hydroperoxide levels increased while α-tocopherol and ascorbic acid decreased in ZD groups. A decrease was observed in ghost membrane zinc concentration in zinc-deficient groups, while there was a gradual increase in copper level of ZD groups. Zinc supplementation studies revealed the same pattern of changes...

A novel, simple, and accurate, high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been a developed with quantitative analysis of Glasdegib using Waters X-Bridge C18 150 × 4.6mm, 3.5µ column with a flow rate of 1ml/min. The buffer containing 0.1% OPA and the mixture of two components like Buffer and Acetonitrile in the ratio of 50: 50 is used as mobile phase. The detection was carried out at 250nm. The proposed method shows good linearity in the concentration range from 25µg/ml to 500µg/ml for Glasdegib. Precision and accuracy study results are in between 98-102%. In entire robustness conditions % RSD is below 2.0%. Degradation has minimum effect in stress conditions, and solutions are stable for 24hrs. Method validation is carried out according to ICH guidelines, and the parameters are precision, accuracy, specificity, stability, robustness, linearity; the limit of detection and limit of quantification are evaluated, and the values are found to be within the acceptable limit. The developed method gave good resolution between Glasdegib and its impurities with a short runtime, high...

Background: Zinc (Zn) is the most common trace element in eukaryote cells and the second most abundant trace element in human tissues and secretions after iron. Zinc is required for normal growth and development from in uteri to puberty. There is a lack of evidence on Zn as a potential therapeutic agent to reduce weight and improve metabolic parameters in obese adults. Aim: to evaluate Zn supplementation’s effects in early neonatal life on the development of obesity in adult life. Methods: Sixty male albino rats were used. The animals were divided into three equal groups 20 rats for each. ZnSO4 supplemented diet was given to rats mothers of group 2 from the first day of delivery, and it was given to rats immediately after weaning until the end of the study. After six weeks, all experimental rats were given a high carbohydrate, high-fat diet. All rats were monitored for body weight, food and water intakes, abdominal circumference; Systolic blood pressure, and Fasting blood sugar was measured in rats after...
