The most common, intricate, and variable endocrine disorder known as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in women is influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. It’s also associated with metabolic disorders like obesity; hirsutism, acne, diabetes, insulin resistance, and glucose intolerance. In addition to lifestyle changes, it can be treated with allopathic, ayurvedic, natural, or herbal treatments. Due to several factors, including expensive cost, the adverse effects associated with using allopathic treatment, and cultural traditions, people have continued to use herbal items for their health benefits. Different plant species, including Liquorice, Cinnamon, Ginseng Saponin, Flaxseed, Spearmint tea, Danggui, Chaste berries, White peony, and Milk thistle, contain both estrogenic and non estrogenic phytochemicals which are both efficient and safe. It has been discovered that herbal remedies are highly regarded, cost- effective, proficient sources of management and treatment for...

Background: Stroke is the most frequent clinical manifestation of diseases of the cerebral blood vessels. Up to 90% of post-stroke survivors report one or more disabilities, including impaired walking. Physical rehabilitation and gait training with equipments are essential in the management of post stroke gait disability, however, these techniques are not amenable for hemiplegic patients because of their limitations to actively participate in such training programs. Unani (Greco-Arab) Medicine scholars have been known to treat post-stroke complications on concept of Tanqiya (elimination of morbid matter) and Ta’deel (revitalization of diseased organ) since centuries. Methods: The study was conducted as open, interventional clinical trial, enrolling 30 eligible patients. Tanqiya was done by Mundij (coctives) and Mus’hile Balgham (phlegm purgatives) drugs used in decoction form for 13 days; after Tanqiya, full body Inkibab (steam bath) with Advia Harrah (Hot temperament Drugs) was started from 14th to 28th day of the study for the purpose of Ta’deel. Assessment for gait improvement was performed on valid and reliable scale “FAC” at baseline, 14th...

Introduction: This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of insulin degludec with insulin glargine in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases for randomized controlled trials published prior to July 2019 (no language restrictions) which compared insulin degludec with insulin glargine. Our main endpoints were glycemic control, and hypoglycemic events. We assessed pooled data using random-effects models. Results: A total of 20 studies that included 22706 patients, 11929 in the insulin degludec arm of the studies and 10777 patients in the insulin glargine arm were identified and subsequently assessed. Our analysis showed that compared with insulin glargine, insulin degludec yielded an improved mean reduction in fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (MD – 6.747, 95% CI – (1.702 to 11.79), p = 0.013), improved mean reduction in glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) (MD 0.095, 95% CI –(-0.155 to -0.035), p = 0.867) and a lower ratio of participants experiencing the severe hypoglycemic event and nocturnal hypoglycemia (95%...

The drug of dendrigel, uses dendrimers as medicine carriers. Dendrimers were prepared by divergent growth techniques and were loaded in varying quantities in carbapol 934. To this mixture, itraconazole drug was added and the expression of dendrigel was estimated. Dendrimers were prepared by divergent growth techniques. Estimation parameters like color test, UV spectroscopy, and FTIR. Evaluation parameters for dendrigel were pH, spreadability, thickness, drug content, antifungal exertion, and in vitro release studies. The set dendrigel has better antifungal exertion than another transdermal medicine delivery system because dendrimers enhance the drug’s solubility, which increases the penetration of the drug in the skin. In the present study, an attempt was made to develop dendrimers containing itraconazole as a drug to increase the solubility and penetration of the drug through the skin using the new delivery system for better antifungal application. This will help to increase the solubility and penetration of the drug. It increases the antifungal application of the...

Physiotherapy students are a valuable human resource in the realm of medicine. Mental health of physiotherapy students deteriorates due to challenging learning environment and ongoing battle to become certified healthcare providers. Anxiety, stress and depression lead to decreased productivity, poor quality of life and suicidal thoughts. This study shed light on a narrative review of the impact of stress, anxiety and depression on academic performance of physiotherapy students. Studies were found using databases such as PubMed/ MEDLINE, Google Scholar, and Science Direct. A total of 17, 423 papers and other scientific literature were found and this narrative review included 12 of them. The key terms used were “Stress,” “anxiety,” “depression,” “academic performance,” and “physiotherapy students”. In conclusion, more than half of the physiotherapy students were found to be affected by depression, anxiety and stress. Increased levels of these elements have an impact on students’ academic performance as well as their emotional and physical...
