Pyrazoline are reduction product of pyrazole. They are well known nitrogen containg 5-memberd heterocyclic compound with broad spectrum of biological activities such as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, analgesic, anticonvulsant, anthelmintic, antioxidant and herbicidal. Pyrazoline derivatives have been synthesized from intermediate chalcone. Pyrazoles have been the recent target of numerous methodologies, mostly due to their prevalence as scaffolds in synthesis of bioactive compounds and reactions in different media. Fish are the widely used vertebrate organism in risk assessment and regulation. Out of them adult zebrafish and zebrafish embryo has a special characteristic which permits its use as a model organism in toxicological and pharmacological studies. Zebra fish known as a Danio rerio have risen as effective and powerful models for studying developmental processes and human disorders. Recently the zebrafish based assays have been developed for testing toxicity of drug candidates, including acute toxicity (LC50), organ specific toxicity and developmental toxicity. In present article the toxicity of newly synthesized pyrazoline derivatives has been studied on adult zebrafish and zebrafish embryos according to...

Tribulus terristris is a well known medicinal plant as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and nephroprotective etc. It is a very good drug for urinogenital problems, hepatic problems, oxidative stress etc. The aim of the study is to compare the depression induced by PCPA and STZ treated diabetic depression in mice and which could be restored by the ethanolic exact of fruits of Tribulus terristris in 21 days. Method: Depression was created in animals by PCPA (100 mg/k.b.w i.p. for 4 days) and STZ (25 mg/k.b.w i.p for 4 days) induced diabetic depression. Then that depression was restored by ethanolic extract of fruits of Tribulus terristris in a dose of 400 mg/k. b.w/day for 21 days. Fluoxietin kept as standard (5 mg/k.b.w) and continued for 21 days. Depression accessed by forced swimming test and measured the selected antioxidants level in brain homogenate and blood serum. Result: Tribulus terristris (TT) showed significant decrease in immobility in forced swim test and restored the antioxidant levels in animals as fluoxietin does, at the dose of...

Antimicrobial resistance has been called one of the world’s most pressing public health problems. Addressing the issue of antimicrobial resistance is one of the most urgent priorities in the fields of public health today. Alarmingly, the development of resistance such as multi-drug resistance towards a number of antibiotics poses a challenge to the scientific community in the discovery of new therapies. Thus, there is a need to develop newer and effective molecules with high safety profile. Benzothiazoles are fused membered rings, which contain heterocycles bearing thiazole. Sulphur and nitrogen atoms constitute the core structure of thiazole and many pharmacologically and biologically active compounds. Benzothiazole is an interesting pharmacophore exhibiting diverse pharmacological activities like antimicrobial, anticancer, anthelminthic, antidiabetic, antitubercular, anticonvulsant, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antipsychotic etc. The present article extensively covers various procedures of synthesis of 2-substituted benzothiazole core and its analogs – by utilizing distinctive catalysts, solvent conditions, reactants immobilized on solid support and microwave irradiation. Variations in synthetic procedures are studied to explore chemo-selectivity of the reactions, in-expensive, eco-friendly,...

Aeromonas hydrophila is a gram negative bacterium which is primary or secondary cause of ulcers and hemorrhagic septicaemia in fish. The treatments for this infection are only restricted to some antibiotics. So, novel materials are being searched for combating with bacterial infections and the resulting consequences. In this presence study, the green synthesized silver nanoparticles using Hibiscus rosa sinensis extract act as reducing agent. The silver nanoparticles have shown bactericidal effects against A. hydrophila isolated from infected fish Catla catla. The silver nanoparticles were characterized by using UV–Visible, fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. SEM results showed that the particles were in the size range of 5µm. FT-IR prediction indicated the presence of C–H stretch, C–H bend, N–H bend, –C≡C– stretch, H–C=O: C–H stretch, C–H stretch respectively on the AgNPs. The maximum zone of inhibition 10 mm observed by normal cured against A. hydrophila is. The synthesized silver nanoparticles exhibited maximum zone of inhibition 11 mm against A. hydrophila. As a conclusion of the...

Infectious diseases are among the most important common diseases worldwide that bring stupendous costs for human community. Medicinal plants are considered a rich source of antimicrobial agents and therefore can be used as antimicrobial remedies because of producing secondary metabolites. This article was designed to review the effective medicinal plants on fungi and fungal disease. In this study, the relevant articles published in Persian and English languages were searched for in the databases Magiran, Iranmedex, Irandoc, PubMed, Scopus, SID, Web of Science, and Science Direct using the search engine Google Scholar. To maximize the comprehensiveness of the search, the general terms antimicrobial, dermatophyte, mycotic, Iran, and anti-Candida as well as their Persian equivalents were used. AND and OR were used for combining searches. Medicinal herbs such as Zataria multiflora, Thymus vulgaris, Thymus kotschyanus, Punicagranatum L., Rosmarinus officinalis L., Matricaria chamomilla L., Urtica dioica L., Mentha piperita L. and Salvia officinalis L., Thymus vulgaris, Salvia officinalis, Eucalyptus globulus, Mentha piperita, Oliveria decumbens, Echinophora Platyloba, Thymus eriocalyx and Thymus X-porlock, Achillea...
