The aim of this review is to provide an extensive overview of the diverse pharmacological activities of quinazoline moiety. Quinazolines are well-known and important nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds made chemical formula C8H6N2. For the last few years, the heterocyclic fused nucleus quinazoline has drawn immense attention due to its diversified application in medicinal chemistry research. In the growing world of intense research, Quinazoline was considered as a privileged scaffold; the modification made with different substituents around the centroid paved the researchers away to deal with at ease. Being a fused ring, the heterocycle itself is capable of great pharmacological quality. Quinazoline is one of the heterocycles with diversifying scaffolds for various important biological activities for which considerable research has been done in order to examine its biomedical applications. In a number of biologically active compounds and drug molecules, the quinazoline nucleus is used as a basic framework. This paper is a sincere attempt to highlight the tremendous potential of this ring system because of its wide spectrum of pharmacological actions....

The bioavailability of conventional ophthalmic solutions is very poor due to efficient protective mechanisms of the eye, blinking, reflex Mental health problems are characterized by in definite persistently depressed mood, low self-esteem, loss of interest in normal life activities. A common problems were the chances to occurs from generation to generation, i.e., genetic in nature, and these may also affect the child (age between 1 to 12 years old) with or without a family history of illness. There are different mental issues in the child such as anxiety, mood disorders, tic disorders, behaviour disorders, personality disorders; attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, epilepsy, eating disorders, elimination disorders, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and these disorders can be hard for parents to identify due to lack of vocabulary or developmental ability to explain their condition. Most of the patient parents face the common problem is the “noncompliance to medication,” which is a major problem throughout the world, especially in developing countries where illiteracy, ignorance, poverty, and overpopulation are major challenges. These...

Tissue specificity is the essential need of the hour to cut down clinical abnormalities. Allowing desired drug concentration to reach the target site is the current trend of the drug delivery system. Laminin is an active component of the basal lamina and present in most cells and organs has shown great utility in this case. It is a heterotrimeric glycoprotein containing an α-chain, a β-chain, and a γ-chain and found in different isoforms. Laminin influences cell differentiation, migration, adhesion, neurite outgrowth, and angiogenesis. The active peptides screened from the whole-length laminin have been incorporated to develop targeted or tissue-specific approaches. This is because full-length laminin has many active sites and triggers various downstream signaling and functions. Laminin-derived peptides along with various carriers or vectors ensure specific binding to target tissues. The particular therapeutic or diagnostic agent is successfully targeted to the diseased site because of the affinity of peptide sequence towards the cell membrane receptors. Promising applications of laminin-derived peptides are observed in diagnostics, therapy, chemotherapy, and gene therapy....

Tyrosine kinase inhibitors generally having a narrow therapeutic window and large inter-patient variability. In order to support its therapeutic drug monitoring, fast and accurate methods are needed to supporting the pharmacokinetic-guided dosing in patients treating with various tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) either alone or in combination in bulk, formulations or human plasma using HPLC and detection with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS), gas chromatography with mass spectrometry, spectrofluorimetry and UV-Visible spectrometry. Literature suggested that the methods developed and validated are good for accuracy, precision, and assay for all TKIs studied. These methods are also applied for routine therapeutic drug monitoring and investigator-initiated research. In this review, we described different analytical methods used for the qualitative and quantitative estimation of all TKIs investigated till 2020 in assessing the quality of drugs by using HPLC, LC-MS, HPTLC, UPLC, UV-Visible spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry with a huge survey from the research articles published in various pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry journals. From this assessment, these methods were found to be superior based on the quantitative analysis...

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) enjoy being the cynosure in most agro-ecosystems. These fungi benefit the plant in multiple ways. They improve plant growth by enhancing nutrient uptake and protecting the plant from various plant pathogens, thereby promoting plant diversity. These fungi improve plant tolerance to various abiotic stresses, such as salinity, drought, extreme temperatures, and heavy metals. They also provide aid in improving soil aggregation and soil stabilization, resultantly leaving a positive impact on ecosystem structure. The diversity of AMF varies among different habitats of the globe. The study of dynamics in the variety of these fungi in other host species in accordance with seasonal changes in a particular agro-climatic zone is significant to evaluate the natural status of these fungi in a specific region. It also becomes necessary to explore these fungal communities in different habitats for efficient utilization and conservation. The exploration of predominant AMF is also helpful in forming inoculums and its utilization for the production of better seedlings and their survival in adverse...
