The most common, intricate, and variable endocrine disorder known as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in women is influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. It’s also associated with metabolic disorders like obesity; hirsutism, acne, diabetes, insulin resistance, and glucose intolerance. In addition to lifestyle changes, it can be treated with allopathic, ayurvedic, natural, or herbal treatments. Due to several factors, including expensive cost, the adverse effects associated with using allopathic treatment, and cultural traditions, people have continued to use herbal items for their health benefits. Different plant species, including Liquorice, Cinnamon, Ginseng Saponin, Flaxseed, Spearmint tea, Danggui, Chaste berries, White peony, and Milk thistle, contain both estrogenic and non estrogenic phytochemicals which are both efficient and safe. It has been discovered that herbal remedies are highly regarded, cost- effective, proficient sources of management and treatment for...

Physiotherapy students are a valuable human resource in the realm of medicine. Mental health of physiotherapy students deteriorates due to challenging learning environment and ongoing battle to become certified healthcare providers. Anxiety, stress and depression lead to decreased productivity, poor quality of life and suicidal thoughts. This study shed light on a narrative review of the impact of stress, anxiety and depression on academic performance of physiotherapy students. Studies were found using databases such as PubMed/ MEDLINE, Google Scholar, and Science Direct. A total of 17, 423 papers and other scientific literature were found and this narrative review included 12 of them. The key terms used were “Stress,” “anxiety,” “depression,” “academic performance,” and “physiotherapy students”. In conclusion, more than half of the physiotherapy students were found to be affected by depression, anxiety and stress. Increased levels of these elements have an impact on students’ academic performance as well as their emotional and physical...

Nanoparticles are the modern-day drug delivery system for biocompatible drugs. Numerous products have developed from nanotechnology to develop effective wound healing and inflammatory treatments. Plant extracts (phytoconstituents) have a lot of therapeutically potential because of their distinctive properties, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and insulin-sensitizing properties etc. Furthermore, the nanostructure of herbal extracts and phytoconstituents could enhance the bioavailability, influence relieves of the manner of drug carrier systems to the wounded area, and increase permeation ability to the underlying layers of the skin, all of which are essential for the recovery process and treating inflammation. This review emphasizes nano-formulations of plant extracts. Many approaches have already been published for the preparation of metal nanoparticles, including laser ablation, evaporation-condensation, thermal-decomposition, chemical reduction, photochemical processes, and biological methods (Green synthesis of metal nanoparticles utilizing diverse herbal extracts). Some herbal extracts and their phytochemicals are classified as a potential substitute for wound healing and treating inflammation intermediates due to the presence of various bioactive ingredients, the ease of access, and the reduction of adverse effects. Overall, when employed in nano-formulations, various...

Clinical results of various medical treatments using medical devices demonstrate continuous advances, dealing with multiple types of products covering a vast range of applications in the last two decades. Millions of people rely on medical devices to diagnose and manage illnesses. A typical framework for medical device regulations is a whole product life cycle regulatory system that covers product design, production, premarket gatekeeping, and post-market monitoring. Nevertheless, the present regulatory frameworks are being tested by the diversity and innovation of medical devices. This comparative study serves as the basis for the research, which then examines the function of litigation in regulation and ensuring patient safety by placing medical device litigation within the context of the pertinent regulatory...

To deliver both conventional as well as novel drugs, the oral route was considered as the most preferable one because it reduces patient’s non-compliance, well accepted by the patients, and can also eliminate the discomfort and pain accompanied by parenteral preparations. Even while oral formulations offer numerous advantages, several drawbacks substantially affect bioavailability. In recent years, lipid-based drug delivery techniques have gained more prominence over other nano-based techniques due to their high biocompatibility and increased bioavailability. Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) are one of the lipid-based carriers developed to overcome some major limitations accompanied by solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) by replacing specific quantity of solid lipid with liquid lipid. Nanostructured lipid carrier based researches reveal that they can be the most propitious carrier to enhance oral bioavailability of lipophilic as well as hydrophilic drugs This review mainly focuses on some common barriers that affect the bioavailability of orally administered drugs and provide brief explanation of NLC types, components and fabrication method used in NLC formulations. The present review emphasizes the...
