Introduction: The micro particles and development in the area of micro particles analysis are discussed in this article. Areas Covered: Micro particles are a unique drug carrier method that provides an effective therapeutic alternative to single-unit dose forms that are either traditional or rapid release. Micro particles are produced by filling them with firm gelatin or compressing them immediately. When compared to traditional dosage forms, micro particles manufactured using various types of technologies vary their performance and administration of the dosage form. Micro particles have been tested using in-vitro release techniques like dialysis membrane sacs, and USP equipment IV. According to comparisons of these techniques, USP apparatus IV is the preferred method right now. Accelerated in-vitro release assays were created to reduce the amount of time required for quality control testing. To reduce the necessity for in-vivo performance analysis, in-vitro and in-vivo correlation using real-time and accelerated release data have been produced. Storage stability studies have been carried out to see how different environmental conditions affect microsphere quality over...

Favipiravir is, an antiviral agent, used to treat diseases caused by RNA viruses like Ebola virus, SARS-CoV-2, Influenza virus, Polio measles etc. The prodrug Favipiravir enters the infected cells through endocytosis and undergo metabolism to become an active drug. An active form of Favipiravir selectively targets the catalytic domain of RNA-dependent RNA polymerase and then interrupts the nucleotide incorporation process during viral RNA replication. This dysregulation of viral RNA replication results in mutations where the replacement of guanine by adenine and cytosine by thymine occurs. This ultimately induces destructive mutagenesis in RNA viruses. Currently, Favipiravir is available in tablet and intravenous dosage forms. The following analytical methods have been carried over for Favipiravir: UV, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, Spectrofluorometric method, and HPTLC-densitometric techniques are reported as per literature. The present paper illustrates the review of analytical methods which involve the estimation of Favipiravir in bulk or dosage form. The review also describes the scope and limitations of many published analytical methods for the analysis of Favipiravir. This detailed review article will...

A wound is described as a break in a tissue’s cellular and anatomic continuity. A wound is a cellular, anatomical, and functional disturbance of living tissue induced by physical, chemical, electrical, or microbiological threats to the tissue. Wound healing is a multi-step process involving injured tissue regeneration or restoration. The typical wound-healing response is a coordinated series of processes that starts with an injury. Wound healing is a series of interconnected cellular and biochemical activities that result in restoring structural and functional integrity and re-establishing strength in wounded tissues. This study includes a review of plants with wound-healing activities found via ethnobotanical and folklore medicinal surveys. This article discusses the wound-healing capabilities of plants, as well as their botanical names, common names, families, parts utilized, and references, all of which might assist researchers to design novel wound-healing formulations for human...

Withania coagulans, commonly known as Rishyagandha in Sanskrit and Paneer phool in Hindi, is a plant in the Solanaceae or nightshade family, native to Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Indian subcontinent. Within the genus Withania, W. somnifera and W. coagulans are economically significant and are cultivated in several regions for their use in Ayurveda. Roots of W. somnifera have been known since ancient times for their use as Rasayana for the overall wellbeing of humanity. Withania coagulans fruit, though not as popular, has earned its medicinal importance because of its recently claimed use in diabetes. The antidiabetic activity of the plant is attributed to several reported phytoconstituents ranging from steroidal lactones like withanolides and withaferins to coagulonides and withacoagulins etc. The plant has also been reported to possess a wide range of pharmacological activities like antidiabetic, anticancer, immunomodulatory, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory and many more. Though from the well-appreciated Withania family, the plant Withania coagulans, could attract less attention from the researchers. Hence, this review article aims to highlight the recent findings on the chemical and pharmacological potential of Withania coagulans, aiming to...

Autoimmune thyroid disease triggers because of T cells attack in the immune system (in the thyroid gland). AITD mainly comprises of two types- ‘Hashimoto’s thyroiditis’ (hypothyroidism) & ‘Grave’s Disease’ (thyrotoxicosis). India has ‘42 million’ people groups experiencing thyroid disease, likewise it has perceived that in contrast with men 80% women affect more from immune system thyroid disease. The attentiveness of Autoimmune hyperthyroidism accounts from 3·0 to 7·5%, hypothyroidism accounts for 0·9%. Genetic Susceptibility, Sex Steroids, Stress, Pregnancy, Radiation Exposure, ‘Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO), ‘Thyroglobulin Antibodies’ (TG), B & T- Cell Responses exist as prime reasons of AITD. ‘Cytokine interferon-gamma’ also show dynamic part in origin of HD disease. Radionuclide scan, physical inspection, fine needle aspiration, lymphocytic infiltrate, TPO, and TG detection (by RIA) are significant diagnosis parameters for ‘AITD’. Levothyroxin treatment intended for HT and antithyroid drugs are meant for GD. Observing of regular dosing is precarious for both therapies. The side effects of hormonal therapy could be avoided by using the herbal approach (Bacopa monnieri, Melissa officinalis, Withania...
