In pharmaceuticals formulation, poorly aqueous soluble medications are becoming more difficult to administer into dosage form as 40-50% of new chemical entities discovered are reported to be poorly aqueous soluble, preventing appropriate absorption from the GI tract. Oral administration is preferred over other forms of administration due to its ease of administration & painless approach. The main problem in the oral dosage form is poor bioavailability due to aqueous solubility. As a result, formulation scientists are employing several ways to improve the absorption and bioavailability of poorly aqueous soluble medication, which is difficult. The different strategies used are nano-suspensions, complexation, pH modification, solid dispersion, liposome, solid lipid nanoparticle (SLN), Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery systems (SMEDDS) and other techniques are used. In the last few decades, pharmaceutical research has been highly diversified for self-emulsifying systems: from micrometer to nanometer size. Therefore, (SMEDDS) has gained much attention as it requires a minimum dose, and the API can be protected into the hostile environment in the gut. It also forms the droplet size...

Schiff bases are generally aldehyde or ketone-like compounds in which an imine or azomethine group replaces the carbonyl group. They are versatile and exhibit a broad range of pharmacological activities as antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anticonvulsant. Anti-cancer activity has been used widely for industrial purposes or therapeutic use. Thus, Schiff bases are highly desired environment-friendly organic compounds used for various therapeutic activities. The goal of reviewing all therapeutic properties is to enhance and modify the antimicrobial properties of the Schiff base. Due to the pandemic conditions of the past few years, it is now necessary to have a compound with strong antimicrobial properties to fight any...

Keratin is a structural protein from the intermediate filament network, i.e., responsible for maintaining the keratinocyte’s structural integrity. Pachyonychia congenita is not a lifetime disease. It is a rare dermatosis disease occurred in the sole’s feet and palm’s hand. In this review, we have discussed the keratinization that occurs in the stratum corneum that follows mutation in the keratin gene “rare disease” pachyonychia congenital an autosomal dominant disorder or hereditary syndrome by any one of a missense mutation in keratin genes such as KRT6A, KRT6B, KRT16 and KRT17. This disease shows hypertrophic dystrophy in toenails and fingernails, plantar keratoderma, oral leukokeratosis, cysts, and follicular hyperkeratosis in the hair follicles. This review aims to specify the beneficial surgical treatment for the pachyonychia congenita. There is limited treatment for this disease, only for the clinical manifestations. In the future perspective, pachyonychia congenita may be treated with C2H4O3 lotions/creams and Keratolytics creams available in the marketed...

Acute gastroenteritis prevalent amongst children and newborns is considered a serious infection globally. The Acute diarrhea as a result of gastroenteritis as per logistics suggest that there were more than 1.5 million outpatient visits along with 200,000 hospitalizations and 300 fatalities per year in children in U.S. Diarrhea is the leading cause of deaths amongst children with 30% relapse rate. The viral gastroenteritis caused by the Rotavirus is one the significant strain contributing the gastroenteritis. The suggestive therapies include Oral rehydration therapy (ORT) respective to age modulating the diet and ORS solutions. The gastroenteritis condition cannot be neglected but can be considered as significant public health issue especially in the elder patients with fatality ratio compared to children. The diagnosis of gastroenteritis includes signs, symptoms and stool cultures. The comorbidities in the patients when treated with variety of drugs is resulting damage of stomach lining and worsening the conditions of gastroenteritis. The comorbidities include the cardiovascular diseases, kidney related diseases and other infections playing major role for the chronic...

Nutraceutical is a word obtained from Nutrition and Pharmaceuticals. Nutrients are a feed constituent that helps to support the life of human beings or animals. Pharmaceutical components are non-toxic food constituents, including prevention and treatment of disease. They commonly inhabit the disorders associated with oxidative stress, for instance, cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, and Hypertension. Nutraceuticals possess substantial importance because of their expected safety and possible nutritional and therapeutic effects. Hypertension is the most frequent risk factor for cardiovascular disease involving coronary heart disease and stroke. There is a crucial role in utilizing single and integral nutraceutical supplements, vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals in the treatment of hypertension. These food supplements rein huge demand because they are less toxic and have long life treatment with dietary food. We have done a face-to-face survey on 33 medical stores. The survey results found that the most demanding nutraceutical is Mactotal, and the least demanding nutraceuticals are Beryl tone and Allvell-Z graph seed extract. The survey study also shows a list of Nutraceuticals that are...
