Wound healing is a normal and common process that typically involves overlapping roles to increase normal activity by increasing neutrophils. The healing process can be managed by using natural substances that have therapeutic properties. The activity of numerous proteins and their regulation by genes orchestrate a healing performance like no other. The present study is to learn about the recent advances and groundbreaking research into herbal formulations for wound healing. Searching Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, Medicine, and Google Scholar for herbal formulations of pharmaceuticals yielded the greatest results. Prisma analysis was used to identify exclusions in RCTs and cohort studies, while CMA performed a meta-analysis. Two reviews were rated on a 3-item, 5-point scale. Subgroup analysis is done to maximize competitive advantages to check for bias. Herbal wound healing formulations have 682 clinical studies. After duplication, 233 records were omitted from the result array, and 22 out of 89 articles were essential. Descriptive and analytical analyses of 16 clinical trials. Consider high, medium, and low bias risks...

Hyperlipidemia is an elevated condition of lipid levels in the body and is known to speed up a process of atherosclerosis that may prove fatal in the development of various cardiovascular diseases. The figures of the patient with hyperlipidemia are constantly increasing which is rising a serious risk factor for a group of cardiovascular diseases. Although various pharmacotherapy for hyperlipidemia namely statins, niacin, fibric acid derivatives, cholesterol absorption inhibitors, and bioactive are available but suffer from various hurdles such as inadequate solubility and poor absorption leading to low bioavailability and ineffectiveness in lowering of cholesterol levels only up maximum 40%. Hence it is required to combat these hurdles associated with hyperlipidemia. Nanotechnology has provided revolutionary changes in medicine, providing a novel approach to treating hyperlipidemia. Various nanotechnology-based approaches include nanosuspension, nanoemulsion, nanoparticle, polymeric nanoparticle, dendrimer, polymeric micelle, etc. out of which nanosuspension has provided a strong background to combat the hurdles linked with pharmacotherapy due to possession of various benefits such as improved aqueous solubility, enhanced bioavailability, fast onset...

Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) that are characterized by progressive loss of functioning and structure of neurons are of great burden to the individuals and the society. With several hypotheses, the existent cause still remains a mystery for various NDs in healthcare. Protein degradation, inflammation, oxidative stress, environmental factor, mitochondrial defects, abnormal protein accumulation in neuron and familial history are amongst the commonly studied environmental causative factors for NDs. These disorders are a significant cause of disability and mortality, and consequently increasing life spans is one of the key challenges for medical research. The excessive treatment cost has led the world to move to alternative therapy with lower cost and minimal side effects compared to conventional treatments. Medicinal plants have been used for treating various diseases since ancient times in India. Medicinal plants used in Unani System of Medicine cover most of the NDs. It has defined a huge number of plants with multiple therapeutic benefits. In this review, the role of important medicinal plants, viz., Prunella vulgaris L., Melissa officinalis...

Nanoparticles are small particles ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers. The biological production of nanoparticles is cheaper than chemical production. Besides being cheaper, it is eco-friendly as well. This biological procedure is a bottom-up procedure where the extracts of natural products replace the chemical reducing agents. These reducing and stabilizing agents are found in plants and can be used to synthesize nanoparticles. Plants also have growth terminating and capping properties as well. This paper aims to give brief information on different plant sources and synthesis of nanoparticles. The infection caused by multi-drug-resistant bacteria increases the mortality rate. So, the effect of multi-drug-resistant bacteria is gaining much more importance. The nanoparticles synthesized by green sources are non-toxic to the environment and humans. This review focuses on basic knowledge of nanoparticles, their production by green sources, the application against multi-drug-resistant bacteria, and advantages and disadvantages of...

Preclinical drug or pharmaceutical research in mouse and rat species is inevitable in the scientific investigations of a chemical substance or lead entity. The administration routes are the experimental study design, and regulatory requirements may influence the study of humans’ intended therapeutic/clinical route. Specific route selection in the investigation of test substances must be profoundly well-versed to the research scientists and approved by local ethics committee members. Every route has advantages and disadvantages in absorption, bioavailability, metabolism, and distribution of substances, which should be carefully considered while selecting a route. Routes of administration can be performed painlessly if proper heed is given to the restraint and holding of animals and using adequate technical skills by technical persons and research scientists. This review describes the principal and common routes used in early drug discovery programs and preclinical research, including guidelines for safe injection volumes, sites of administration, preparation of sites, advantages & disadvantages, limitations, handling and restraint techniques, vehicle selection, and formulation strategies. Conclusion: This can be concluded knowledge of...
