Possibility of use of the informational parameters, which characterize adaptational and regenerative opportunities of organ, as potential criteria for the assessment of biological activity of tissue preparations, is investigated in this research. The influence of tissue preparation «STEMB» on the morphofunctional condition of a liver of rats at experimental toxic damage of organs was studied. The assessment of a morphofunctional condition of a liver under the influence of preparation was carried out as with use of traditional morphological, biochemical and histologic parameters, and also by means of informational parameters. A correlation analysis was conducted between the used biochemical, morphological and morphometric parameters and informational criteria. As a result of research it is established that hepatoprotective activity of preparation «STEMB» is confirmed both with results of traditional techniques of an assessment and with informational parameters, that allows drawing a conclusion on possibility of use of informational parameters as criterion of an estimation of biological activity of tissue...

Munronia pinnata is a rare medicinal plant, naturally distributed in China, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Sri Lanka. The entire plant is extensively used for medicinal purposes, especially for curing skin diseases and treating fever, including malaria. Four major ecotypes were identified in Sri Lanka that consist of 3, 5, 7, and 9 leaflets from various regions. This study was performed to investigate the phytochemical activity of four different ecotypes of Munronia. Leaves of ecotypes were collected and dried at 45 ºC for 15 h. The methanol extracts were prepared and used for screening of antioxidant activity, total polyphenol content, antifungal, and anti-diabetic activity. The findings were indicated that all ecotypes attest to significant differences in its activity but to varying degrees. The strongest antioxidant activity, highest polyphenol content, and mild inhibitory activity for Cladosporium cladosporioides were observed in ecotype with 3 leaflets. Ecotype with 7 and 9 leaflets showed moderate activity, and ecotype with 5 leaflets was the lowest for all tested properties. None of the ecotypes...

Objective: The bioactive compounds of Rhizopora mucornata were docked against the bacterial enzyme protein tyrosine phosphatase to determine the potential inhibition. In this research the molecular docking analysis of drug compounds with virulent protein was studied. Material and Methods: Protein Tyrosine phosphatase is an enzyme that is being present in staphylococcus infection that plays an important role in cellular localization, enzyme stability. The target enzyme for Staphylococcus aureus was studied and retrieved from PDB. The bioactive compounds from the leaf extract of Rhizopora mucornata was screened for Lipinski rule of Five and ADMET properties. Autodock 4.2.3 software was used for molecular docking, and the visualization was done by using discovery studio 3.1. Result: The compound 3-methyl-2-(2-oxopropyl) furan shows better binding energy with -1.14 Kcal/mol against the enzyme protein tyrosine phosphatase followed by 3-cyclopentylpropionic acid, 4-methoxyphenyl ester +35.14 Kcal/mol. The hydrogen interactions and Vander Waals interactions, along with total residues of amino acids were studied. This research mainly focuses on targeting the virulent enzyme by using potential drugs to discover...

This was a 24-week, randomized, open label study. Treatment-naive patients diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes mellitus were randomized into two groups, Group-1 (Vildagliptin 50 mg, twice dailyplus Metformin 500 mg, twice daily) and Group-2 (Teneligliptin 20 mg, once dailyplus Metformin 500 mg, twice daily). The primary objective was to compare fasting plasma blood glucose levels (FBG), 2-h post prandial blood glucose levels (2-h PPG) and HbA1c reduction from baseline in both the groups at the week 24 endpoint. From comparable baseline values HbA1c decreased in both treatment groups, to the greater extent with teneligliptin plus metformin combination therapy. Reductions in FPG were superior with teneligliptin plus metformin combination therapy [change from baseline -38.63 mg/dL] (p>0.05). Reductions in 2-h PPG were also superior with teneligliptin plus metformin combination therapy [change from baseline -37.85 mg/dL] (p>0.05). There was no incidence of hypoglycemia with either combination therapy. Efficacy and Safety of Teneligliptin over a period of 24 weeks was comparable to that of vildagliptin when given with stable doses of...

Nanoemulsion system is a promising vehicle due to the powerful ability to deliver the drug through the skin. Researchers have been conducted to prove its potential for the delivery of the drugs used in many skin disorders. Skin is the largest organ and acts as the first line of defense of our body. After a certain period of time, our skin loses tone and elasticity which is called aging. It is the result of programmed senescence and prolonged environmental injury to the skin. The aim of this review article is to provide information regarding the control of skin aging by the nanoemulsion drug delivery system. Novel carrier systems have a lot of advantages when compared to conventional formulations. There are various approaches to preventing skin aging. The most widely used age combating substances in cosmeceuticals are kinetin, Retinoids, sun filters, herbal ingredients (such as resveratrol, turmeric, and green tea), and antioxidants (such as alpha-tocopherol, ascorbic acid, coenzyme Q10 and lipoic acid). In recent years, these molecules have been formulated...
