Pharmaceutical chemistry is devoted to the discovery and development of new agents for treating diseases. Inorganic compound continues to be important in therapy, for example, as antacids, mineral supplements, and radiopharmaceuticals, but organic molecules with increasingly specific pharma-cological activities are clearly dominant. The five and six-membered heterocyclic nitrogen-containing systems such as pyrazole, imidazole, trizoles, thiozolidine, pyrazolidine, etc., are far by the most important in the ongoing research for more efficacious drugs in the fields such as anti-bacterial, fungicidal, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, diuretics, and anti-histaminic, etc. Pyrazoline is a five-membered heterocyclic compound having two adjacent nitrogen atoms within the ring. It has only one endocyclic double bond and is basic in nature. Pyrazole derivatives have a long history of application in agrochemicals and pharmaceutical industry as herbicides and active pharmaceuticals. The recent success of pyrazole COX-2 inhibitors has further highlighted the importance of these heterocyclic rings in medicinal chemistry. Many scientists have synthesized novel pyrazoline derivatives. They have characterized the synthesized compounds by thin-layer chromatographic technique and analyzed the spectrum by...

Prednisolone (10mg/day) plus low dose Aspirin (80mg/day) improve the implantation rate in women with autoimmune condition who are undergoing in-vitro fertilization. A new, simple, precise, accurate, and validated simultaneous equation method (Vierordt´s Method) has been developed for simultaneous determination of Prednisolone and Aspirin in the synthetic mixture. The method was based on the measurement of absorbance of both components at their ʎmax 243 nm and 226 nm of Prednisolone and Aspirin in methanol as solvent correspondingly. Linearity was obtained over a range of 2-6 µg/mL for Prednisone and 16-48 µg/mL for Aspirin. The percentage recovery obtained for Prednisolone and Aspirin was found to be in the range 98.85% to 99.95% and 99.41% to 99.74%, respectively. The results of the proposed method were validated for linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness, ruggedness according to ICH guideline Q2(R1). The developed method can be successfully be applied for simultaneous estimation of drugs in all commercial...

The Nilgiris District is one of the most botanized areas of Southern India. Asteraceae family is one of the largest families consisting of medicinal and aromatic plants in Nilgiris. The chemical compositions of Erigeron canadensis L. plant were investigated using Perkin-Elmer Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, while the mass spectra of the compounds found in the extract were matched by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) library. FT-IR and GC-MS analysis of ethanol extracts of Erigeron canadensis L. The shade-dried plant was powdered and subjected to selective sequential extraction using solvents of increasing polarity through percolation, for instance, using ethanol to obtain an ethanolic extract. Then, each of the extracts was further subjected to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. GC-MS analysis of an ethanolic extract of Erigeron canadensis L. This revealed the existence of Methanethioamide, N,N-Dimethy (46.57%), N-Methylthio-acetamide (21.19%), Beta.-Sitosterol (7.80%), Disiloxane, Pentamethyl- (3.20%), Toluene P297 (3.18%), Benzene, 1,2-Dimethyl-(2.46%), Stigmasterol (2.40%), Acetic Acid, Diethoxy-, Ethyl Ester (2.39%), Benzene, 1, 2-Dimethyl- (2.15%), Phytol (1.41%), 1-Heptatriacotanol (1.09%) and Lupeol (0.90%). These results indicate...

Phoenix dactylifera is a medicinally important plant. Fruits are traditionally used for the nutritional purpose. Date seeds are the rich sources of phenolic acids which exhibits strong antioxidant property. HPTLC is a simple, versatile method and it provides visualization of separated constituents. The advantage of this method is this method requires a small amount of sample for analysis. The present work describes a simple, precise, and accurate HPTLC method for quantification of gallic acid, syringic acid, and vanillic acid present in seeds of date fruits. The analysis was done on CAMAG ATS4 automatic TLC sampler system. The chromatographic separation was carried out on precoated silica gel 60 F254 aluminum plates, using a mixture of toluene: ethyl acetate: formic acid (4:4:2 v/v) as mobile phase. The evaluation of spots was carried out at 254 nm using Camag TLC scanner 3. The aimed compounds were resolved satisfactorily with Rf 0.47, 0.53, and 0.60 for gallic acid, syringic acid, and vanillic acid, respectively. The developed method was validated by parameters linearity, accuracy,...

Antimycotic activity of Lead oxide (PbO) nanoparticles prepared by the bio-safe method was evaluated for rot causing fungi. It was observed from the study that all the concentrations of nanoparticles brought about significant inhibition in the spore germination and mycelial growth of all the rot causing fungi. However, the highest inhibition in the germination of all the test fungi was observed at higher concentrations, followed by lower concentrations of nanoparticles. The highest inhibition in the spore germination was found against Aspergillus niger and it varies from 74.26% to 37.63% in different concentrations of nano Pb, whereas the least reduction of spore germination was found against P. expansum and it ranges from 52.44% to 20.47% in different concentrations of nanoparticles respectively, as compared to untreated control. Similarly, inhibition in spore germination of all other tested fungi also varies significantly with the increase in the concentrations of Pb nanoparticles, and the highest concentration caused the highest reduction in the spore germination followed by lower concentrations of Pb nanoparticles, respectively. However, the...
