The PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling pathway is widely used in cancer therapy as it is a signaling pathway that is frequently disrupted in human cancers. Increasingly, inhibitors develop against key proteins in signaling pathways, such as PI3K and mTOR. Dual inhibitors targeting PI3K and mTOR are more potent than one inhibitor targeting only a single protein. This study used to design and molecular docking analysis to investigate the precise binding positions and interaction forces of quinoxaline-containing compounds within the active site of PI3Kγ and mTOR with the help of freely available software for virtual screening of compounds, docking, and drug interaction result analysis. And also proposed the development of new potent drug candidates which works as dual inhibitors against cancer diseases; thus it could be concluded that Quinoxaline-containing derivatives might be used as a template for destiny improvement thru change or derivatization to lay out stronger healing...

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a Gram-negative pathogenic bacterium that can cause a variety of hospital-acquired diseases. It is a multidrug-resistant bacterium and can survive a wide range of antibiotics; hence there is a concern about its limited therapy options. In this scenario, the discovery and development of novel antibiotics are in high demand. In our research work, molecular docking a Bioinformatics technique, is applied to find the ideal lead molecule from plants. For this study, we have extracted literature-proven phytocompounds from a variety of traditional medicinal plants and their structures were retrieved from the PubChem database. Lipinski and ADME/TOX screening were used to evaluate drug likeliness, followed by docking against the target protein. Pseudomonas aeruginosa elastase, or LasB is a virulence protease that hydrolyzes host tissue and is thus considered the target protein. Elastase degrades human skin extracellular protein in wound infections, including tissue damage and inflammation. Thus, elastase could be a promising target for the discovery of novel lead compounds. As a result of docking studies, Eupalitin 3-o-galactoside, a...

Among different neoplastic lesions, hepatocellular carcinoma plays a pivotal role due to the extreme difficulty of treating it in advanced conditions. Research shows that there is a high intractability towards chemotherapy for this disease. Therefore, using medicinal plants can be another approach to fend off this grim scenario and pave a new way to prolong survival time. For this purpose, the ethanolic extracts of leaves and fruits of Cassia fistula (Golden shower) as a probable anticancer drug have been administered in the liver cancer cell line, HEPG2 and the gene expression of cytokines (interleukin-6, interleukin-8, interleukin IL-1β, transforming growth factor-TGF-β1, tumour necrosis factor-TNF-α) against this treatment has been analyzed in the present work. The current study revealed a significant reduction in the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines by the application of these extracts demonstrating their vital role in suppressing tumour growth and proliferation in liver cancer. It appears that important phytochemicals played a key role in decreasing the expression of these cytokines. The combination of leaves and fruit extracts of Cassia fistula can be...

Gouty arthritis, an inflammatory joint disease, occurs due to the accumulation of Monosodium Urate (MSU) crystals in the joints, mainly at the metatarsophalangeal joints of the big toe. At present, the incidence and prevalence of gout are increasing globally. The various risk factors are responsible for the development of gouty arthritis, including nonmodifiable, modifiable, and genetic factors. Under physiological conditions, the purine undergoes a catabolic pathway to produce the uric acid end product excreted from the body using various uric acid transporters. The overproduction or under-excretion of uric acid leads to the pathophysiology of hyperuricemia and promotes the MSU crystals formation and deposition in joints to trigger inflammation by releasing inflammatory mediators in gouty arthritis. If chronic gout has been left untreated, the pain worsens and eventually causes cartilage degradation, bone erosion, and urolithiasis. The research studies of the antigout activity of the various secondary metabolites are manifested in this review. The inflammatory pathways involved in gouty arthritis development are being discussed to find a new therapeutic target to...

Plants have been widely adopted as the source of all drugs; this field has gradually broadened in developing countries where traditional medicine is essential in health care. Flaxseed is the seed from the plant Linum usitatissimum, which is an annual plant. This plant has attracted man’s attention for its advantages for human health. Plant materials contain a lot of bioactive phenolics, which demonstrate biological activity, including anti-radical, antioxidant, anti-microbial, and anti-cancer effects. Antioxidants are synthetic or natural compounds that can delay some types of cell damage and quench reactive radical species formed during oxidative reactions in metabolism. Our aim is to collect the seed of Linum usitatissimum L., screen the antibacterial activity of the solvent extracts of this plant against some selected bacteria, and identify the bioactive chemical compounds from the plant extracts using preliminary phytochemical analysis. To investigate the antioxidant activity of methanol, ethyl acetate, and chloroform extracts of Linum usitatissimum...
