PREPARATION AND EVALUATION OF NEW POLYHERBAL FORMULATION THEIR FOR WOUND HEALING ACTIVITY

Herbal medicine (also herbalism) is the study of pharmacognosy and the use of medicinal plants, which are the basis of traditional medicine. Any damage or break in the surface of the skin is a wound. In Soxhlet extraction, solvent extraction involves extraction with solvents of increasing polarity from a nonpolar to a more polar solvent to ensure that a wide polarity range of compounds can be extracted. 1 % of the extract was incorporated in the preparation of gel formulation using Carbomer 940 polymer as gelling agent. Three formulae 1, 2 and 3 of gel containing varying concentrations of Carbomer 940(0.5, 1 and 1.5%) were prepared. Carbomer 940 was soaked in distilled water overnight. Selected extracts were dissolved in ethanol. Standard methods and results examined different Physicochemical evaluation parameters of formulated ointments were found within the acceptable limits. THE CURRENT REGISTRATION REGULATIONS OF COSMETIC PRODUCTS IN “BRICS” COUNTRIES

Cosmetic products are produced by the most inventive and technically driven methods to reach more consumers in the developing world. Cosmetic products are also regulated, similar to pharmaceutical products. BRICS countries are emerging markets with a partial regulatory system similar to well-regulated countries. BRICS countries have a registration or notification process for cosmetics based on their classification. A systematic review was carried out. We searched the databases and reviewed assessment agency websites, among other sources. Qualitative studies, official regulations, and systematic reviews aimed to identify a general framework of regulatory activity in BRICS were included. A critical analysis is made of all the aspects that may be useful for any public body that intends to register cosmetics in any of the BRICS countries. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids present in regular animal and plant food diets. They play a key role in different body functions. Omega-3 fatty acids help to prevent central nervous system diseases. In this paper, we have shown the molecular basis of this effect. There isa number of studies showing the role of omega-3 fatty acids in the prevention of different central nervous system disorders. Omega-3 fatty acid plays a key role in brain development even during embryogenesis. It mainly shows a preventive effect against CNS disorders due to its anti-inflammatory action. Parkinson’s disease, migraine, schizophrenia, dementia and psychosis are some of the most abundant CNS disorders which are difficult to cure completely, especially in advanced stages. DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION OF NOVEL NANOVESICLE LOADED SUBGLOSSAL FILMS FOR ENHANCED SYSTEMIC AVAILABILITY OF TACROLIMUS THROUGH SUBLINGUAL ROUTE

Tacrolimus being the drug of choice in prevention of transplanted organ from rejection suffers from low oral bioavailability and dose-dependent side effects. An attempt was made to formulate tacrolimus into subglossal (sublingual) fast dissolving films containing ethosomes using ethanol and soyalecithin to enhance systemic availability of drug with controlled delivery of drug. Ethosomes were prepared by modified mechanical dispersion method and were optimized by central composite design to arrive for best drug-loaded ethosome dispersion. Optimized formulations were characterized for vesicle size, Deformability index and entrapment efficiency. Subglossal films were prepared for best and optimized dispersion using HPMC K15M and PEG-400 as film-forming polymer and plasticizer respectively. Formulated fast dissolving subglossal films were optimized by Box benhkendesign and characterized for physical characteristics like appearance, pH, thickness, disintegration time, in-vitro release, Histopathology studies, stability and in-vivo pharmacokinetics in rats. IDENTIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NOVEL PHYTOCONSTITUENTS FROM THE FERMENTED EXTRACT OF LEAVES OF MORINGA OLEIFERA BY GC-MS ANALYSIS

Moringa oleiferais a well-known plant that can be used for the treatment of various disorders or nutritional deficiencies; all parts of this plant possess various activities such as antitumor, antipyretic, antiepileptic, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, antispasmodic, diuretic, antihypertensive, cholesterol-lowering, antioxidant, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, antibacterial and antifungal activities and are being employed for the treatment of different ailments. Numerous bioactive compounds were found to be present in the fermented extract of Moringa oleifera with therapeutic activity having great research value by pharmaceutical industries. The fermented extract of Moringa oleifera leaves was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy for the identification and characterization of phytoconstituents and their therapeutic efficacy. The existing compounds identified in extract were Diethyl Phthalate (56.05%), dl-Mevalonic acidlactone (10.40%), 4H-Pyran-4-one, 2, 3-dihydro-3, 5-dihydroxy-6-methyl (8.88%), Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (2.99%), 5-Fluoro-6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one (2.42%).
