Introduction: This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of insulin degludec with insulin glargine in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases for randomized controlled trials published prior to July 2019 (no language restrictions) which compared insulin degludec with insulin glargine. Our main endpoints were glycemic control, and hypoglycemic events. We assessed pooled data using random-effects models. Results: A total of 20 studies that included 22706 patients, 11929 in the insulin degludec arm of the studies and 10777 patients in the insulin glargine arm were identified and subsequently assessed. Our analysis showed that compared with insulin glargine, insulin degludec yielded an improved mean reduction in fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (MD – 6.747, 95% CI – (1.702 to 11.79), p = 0.013), improved mean reduction in glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) (MD 0.095, 95% CI –(-0.155 to -0.035), p = 0.867) and a lower ratio of participants experiencing the severe hypoglycemic event and nocturnal hypoglycemia (95%...

The drug of dendrigel, uses dendrimers as medicine carriers. Dendrimers were prepared by divergent growth techniques and were loaded in varying quantities in carbapol 934. To this mixture, itraconazole drug was added and the expression of dendrigel was estimated. Dendrimers were prepared by divergent growth techniques. Estimation parameters like color test, UV spectroscopy, and FTIR. Evaluation parameters for dendrigel were pH, spreadability, thickness, drug content, antifungal exertion, and in vitro release studies. The set dendrigel has better antifungal exertion than another transdermal medicine delivery system because dendrimers enhance the drug’s solubility, which increases the penetration of the drug in the skin. In the present study, an attempt was made to develop dendrimers containing itraconazole as a drug to increase the solubility and penetration of the drug through the skin using the new delivery system for better antifungal application. This will help to increase the solubility and penetration of the drug. It increases the antifungal application of the...

The drugs Aceclofenac (ACF), Paracetamol (PAR), and Tramadol Hydrochloride (TH) are analgesics, and the combination is used in the symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe pain. The reported HPLC methods for this combination use complicated mobile phases; none is a stability-indicating method. The present study aims to develop and validate a simple stability-indicating RP-HPLC method for simultaneous estimating ACF, PAR, and TH in bulk and tablet dosage form. The chromatographic separation was performed using Neosphere C18 (250 x 4.6 mm, 5mm) with a mobile phase comprising methanol: 0.5% Triethanolamine. 0.5% Triethanolamine was added to methanol to reduce tailing. The flow rate was set to 1.5ml/min and UV detection was carried out at 270 nm with a run time of 4 min. It was found to be linear in the range of 15-40 µg/ml, 39.9- 106.4 µg/ml, and 129.9-346.4 µg/ml with a R2 value of 0.999, 0.999, and 0.995 for TH, ACF and PAR respectively. Statistical analysis proved that the developed method is simple, accurate, precise, reproducible, specific, sensitive and cost-effective....

The medication pretomanid effectively treats drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR TB). For the analysis of pretomanid, a simple, focused, and accurate HPTLC method has been created and approved. The samples were applied as bands on a silica gel-coated TLC plate made of aluminium. Pretomanid was completely separated using ethyl acetate and n-hexane as the mobile phase; the RF value was 0.68 0.046. Densitometry was used for detection, namely in absorbance mode at 330 nm. The peaks produced by this approach were discovered to be crisp, symmetrical, and highly resolved. A linear relationship was found across the concentration range of 200-1200ng/spot with coefficients of determination of 0.987. According to the International Conference on Harmonization’s criteria, the method’s accuracy, recovery, repeatability, and robustness were all confirmed. The limit of quantitation was determined to be 439.36 ng/spot, while the lowest detectable level was found to be 144.9 ng/spot. According to statistical analysis of the data, the procedure is exact, accurate, repeatable, and selective for the examination of Pretomanid. The suggested single approach permitted analysis...

Carbamazepine (CBZ) has long been a therapeutic option for bipolar disorder. Carbamazepine is used to treat acute manic and mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. In the present study, bilayer tablet was developed to improve dosing convenience and decrease daily fluctuations in serum CBZ concentration, thereby lowering the incidence of adverse events. In bilayer tablet one layer provides the loading dose by immediate drug release and another layer provides the maintenance dose up to 12 hrs by sustained release. The drug excipient compatibility study was carried out by FTIR and DSC techniques; there was no interaction found. Cross povidone was used as a superdisintegrant in the immediate release layer and controlled release fraction was formulated by using HPMC K 100 polymer. The prepared granules were evaluated for angle of repose, bulk density, tapped density, and compressibility index which showed satisfactory results. The prepared bilayer tablets were evaluated for thickness, hardness, friability and in-vitro release studies. In-vitro dissolution study was carried out for 12 hours using USP dissolution apparatus...
