This investigation evaluates the oral toxicity of Phaseolus vulgaris immature pods decoction a the biochemical, hematological, and cardiac profile of Wistar rats. Methods: The Economic Cooperation and Development Organization (OECD) guidelines 423 and 407 were applied. A 2000 mg/kg dose of PAD was administered to six female mice. Mortality, body weight, clinical signs of toxicity, food and water intake were recorded for 14 days. In the subacute oral toxicity test, daily doses of 100, 500, and 1000 mg/kg of PAD were administered to groups of five rats of both sexes for 28 days. Mortalities, clinical signs of toxicity, weight growth, water, and food intake were recorded throughout the period. Results: PAD did not cause mortality or significant clinical signs of toxicity at 2000 mg/kg bw. The LD50 of this extract was estimated to be 5000 mg/kg bw. All animals survived daily administration of 100, 500, and 1000 mg/kg of PAD decoction. The weight gain was comparable to that of the control groups in male and female-treated rats. Furthermore, no...

A study was performed to develop a simple HPLC method for estimating sertraline Hydrochloride in unit dose. The method was created by evaluating the drug sertraline hydrochloride’s solubility in phosphate buffer, pH 4.0, at 254 nm. The chromatographic separation was accomplished on Prominence I LC 2030 C (Shimadzu Corporation, Japan). A 10 µl sample volume and a C18 column (250 x 4.6 mm (5 µm) were employed. The created and improved procedure produced the desired results. A 0.9998 linearity value was discovered. Buffer (Monobasic Potassium Phosphate of Buffer pH 4.0): Acetonitrile: and Methanol (50:25:25) were combined in a mobile phase designed for the technique at a 2.0 ml/min flow rate. Sertraline Hydrochloride was simultaneously identified at 254 nm with a retention time of 10.4±0.2 min. The percentage of the medicine was calculated using the specification limits after a quantitative assay of the commercial formulation. According to ICH guideline Q2R1, validation was completed successfully. The suggested approach can be used for a BE study to assess its applicability further and...

Due to its similarity to the cell membrane seen in living organisms, gelatin is a natural biopolymer commonly used in tissue engineering applications. However, the rheological properties of gelatin formulations preclude their use in extrusion-based bioprinting. Using pectin as a viscosities modifier and formaldehyde for gelatin as a gelatin-pectin crosslinking agent, we offer a technique in the current work to improve the gelatin bioprinting capabilities. The primary goal of creating the gelatin-pectin formulation is to create a homogenous gelatin-pectin composite. Through defrost, microporous gelatin-pectin-formaldehyde sponges are produced, and their inborn characteristics, such as porosity, particle shape, degree of swelling, flexural modulus, and cell attachment examined. This is so that the crosslinking reaction may be completed when using formaldehyde, which calls for a drying phase. Rheological studies were conducted after...

Introduction: Pharmacists have an integral role in the medication use process in performing interventions. In TTSH, accurate classification of interventions is important for supporting a learning culture within the hospital. Pharmacists spend at least 80 hours to look through 10,000 interventions monthly to ensure accurate classification. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has been increasingly used in healthcare and may potentially be used to perform interventions classification. Aim: We aim to develop an intervention classification algorithm which can assist pharmacists in accurate classification of interventions. Pharmacists’ time spent can be reduced substantially and be better channeled to other higher leveled tasks to improve patient’s care. Methods: In designing the model for intervention classification algorithm, at least 80 000 pharmacist-checked intervention categories (PIC) were sent to Health Services & Outcomes Research, a division under the National Healthcare Group of Singapore (NHG). AI-predicted intervention categories (AIC) with a precision >90% matched PIC at least 95% of the time and exempted from manual pharmacists’ checking. Results: After utilization of the ML algorithm,...

Scenedesmus dimorphus isone of the widely exploited microalgae in several arenas of science, such as in food, nutraceuticals, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries due to its high nutritional content and bioactivities. The present study designed a novel, cost-effective, eco-friendly, easy-to-operate and rectangular photobioreactor using glass material. Photobioreactor was provided with monochromatic LED light of 3000, 5000, 10,000 and 15,000 lux, agitation, and aeration facility. The effect of inoculum concentration, pH, temperature, and light intensity on the growth of S. dimorphus was evaluated in a novel photobioreactor. Finally, to convert dairy waste into valuable bioresources, dairy waste’s effect on microalgae growth was investigated in an optimized condition using a novel photobioreactor. The optimum inoculum concentration to obtain the highest growth of S. dimorphus was 1-2×107 cells/ml in proteose peptone medium (pH 6.8) at 20ºC with photoperiodicity of Dark/Light (D/L) 12/12h and 12,000 lux.In similar experimental conditions, S. dimorphus revealed maximum growth at pH 7.0 and the optimum light intensity was 15,000lux.Growth temperature optimization in optimum conditions with D/L 12/12h indicated significant...
