Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of Schiff base thiosemicarbazones (L1) and semicarbazones (L2) derived from pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde. These complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic suscepectibility measurements, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurements of the complexes in DMSO determine the non-electrolytes and electrolytes nature of the complexes based on their molar conductance value as higher value indicates the electrolytes nature of the complexes and lower value of the molar conductance indicates the non-electrolytes nature of the complexes. On the basis of spectral studies an octahedral geometry may be assigned for Ni(II) complexes except [Ni(L1)2](NO3)2 which are of tetrahedral geometry. Background: Glioblastoma Multiforme is the commonest of all astrocytomas. It accounts for 12-15% of all intracranial neoplasm and 50-60% of all astrocytic tumors. Most common site of occurrence is cerebrum and age incidence is highest in fifth and sixth decade. Gliosarcoma constitutes 2% of all brain tumors, 5% of all astrocytomas and 8% of anaplastic astrocytomas. The cell of origin of sarcomatous component has not been fully established. Aim: The purpose of our study is to evaluate histopathological features of GBM in detail, in relation to the age, sex and site of occurrence, in Ganga Ram Hospital, during a period of 10 years and also to find out the relative frequency of Gliosarcoma among glial tumors. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the wound healing activity of leaf extract of Dodonaea viscosa Jacq in diabetic wistar albino rats. Wound is defined as a loss or breaking of cellular and anatomic or functional continuity of living tissue. Normal wound healing response begins the moment the tissue is injured. Wound healing is the process of repair that follows injury to the skin and other soft tissues. For the study, various excision, incision and granuloma pouch models were used. In each model, animals were divided into three groups (n=6). Group I was control group, Group II was treated with silver sulfadiazine and Group III was treated with ointment of Dodonaea viscosa. In excision wound model, the significant (p<0.001) increase in rate of wound contraction was observed. Also, there was increase in rate of reepithelization, matrix density and capillary number. Background: Job satisfaction represents one of the most complex areas facing today’s managers when it comes to managing their employees. The level of job satisfaction among pharmacy personnel is of importance because it may affect performance and retention. Objective: To assess the level of job satisfaction and factors associated with it among pharmacy professionals working at selected health facilities in south west Ethiopia. Method: Institutional based cross sectional study was conducted among pharmacy professionals working in selected towns, Jimma, Agaro and Limmu Genet, of Southwest Ethiopia from June 30-July 15, 2011 using self-administered semi-structured questionnaires. Statistical analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 16.0. Participants’ written informed consent to participate in the study was obtained after explaining about the purpose and procedure of the study. Results: Out of 97 pharmacy professionals included in the study, 59 (60.8%) were satisfied and 38(39.2%) were dissatisfied in their job.
