Background: Pain is warning signal of the underlying pathology and is also essential for the diagnosis. Vanilla planifolia (VP) as per literature has analgesic activity. Analgesics like NSAIDs and Opioids are used for treating pain. Adverse effects limits their long-term use. Therefore, there is always a need of more effective and safe drugs. Objective: To evaluate the analgesic activity of ethanolic extract of Vanilla planifolia seeds. Material and Methods: Wistar rats weighing 150-200gms and mice 30-40 gms of either sex were included in the study. Hot plate model and acetic acid-induced writhing test was used. Animals were divided into four groups -Vehicle control, Standard control, VP Low Dose and VP High Dose. Drug treatment was given 1hr prior to the test & response to the thermal stimuli was noted on eddy’s hot plate. Drug treatment was given 1 h before and number of writhes was measured, at different time intervals 30 min up to 240 min after the injection of 1% acetic acid in writhing test. Data analyzed with...

In the present COVID-19 situation, it poses a danger to a person’s life because of organ infection and other health problems. It is mandatory to research work to find a better COVID-19 infection diagnosis method through scans and contact tracing through the AI method. In this, a novel AI structural model is intended to identify the infection features in the respective regions of human being availability, which makes the infection monitoring easier to identify an infected and non-infected human being from the population identified. The method used for monitoring the multiplicative nature of Coronavirus infections is through contact feature tracing and infection confirmation status and confirms the Coronavirus cases from scans and feature analysis to include real-time contact tracking from the same region and distant regions, providing an efficient method to track the infection spread. The anticipated model is used to forecast coronavirus transmission using feature forecasting data. The performance assessment is compared based on the outcomes of the suggested model and shows an enhanced COVID-19 diagnostic...

Traditionally, Croton tiglium seed oil is reported to be very effective for hair loss. Thus, the aim is to study the effectiveness of Croton tiglium with different oils in the treatment of alopecia. The study will help develop the pharmacological profile of herbal formulation, which is being reported scientifically for the first time. The herbal formulations (formulation1, formulation2, formulation3) were formulated by mixing croton oil with olive oil and pure coconut oil. For the primary irritation test, 1 ml quantity of formulations was applied over the respective test sites of one side of the spine. The test sites were observed for erythema and edema for 48 hours after application. A physical parameter study was done for hair length, density, and quantitative histomorphometric studies. Biochemical estimation was done using different biochemical parameters; this oil was applied on shaved skin area of rats for 21 days once a day and hair length, serum total protein, and total testosterone were measured. From observation and results, it can be concluded that all the...

Objective: To investigate the antitumor activity of different extracts (petroleum ether, ethanolic and aqueous extracts) of Taraxacum officinale against DMBA-induced skin cancer in mice. Methods: T. officinale leaves were successively extracted using petroleum ether (PTO), ethanol (ETO) and water (ATO). The antitumor activity was evaluated against DMBA-induced skin cancer in swiss albino mice. The morphological and biochemical parameters were observed inrelation to the skin papilloma. Results: PTO, ETO and ATO were administered at dose of 200 mg/kg body weight, respectively to DMBA-induced skin cancer in mice. All the treatment groups showed a significant (P < 0.05) improvement in all biochemical parameters by restoring to the normal level. The morphological study confirmed that the treatment groups showed a significant reduction in tumor size and the tumor number compared with group II. ETO extract was found to be highly effective against DMBA-induced skin cancer in mice as compared to PTO & ATO groups. Conclusion: The results were significant and confirmed that the T. officinale ETO extract has remarkable antitumor activity against...

A new, precise, economical and gradient reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method has been validated for the relative substance determination in pimecrolimus cream. The chromatographic separation was achieved with phenomenax luna, C18, 150 x 4.6mm and 3 µm particle size column. The flow rate was 1.5 mL/min and eluents were detected at 210 nm using PDA detector. The retention time of pimecrolimus and desmethyl pimecrolimus was found to be 31.5 min and 27.5 min respectively. The calibration curves were linear for both pimecrolimus and desmethyl pimecrolimus. The LOQ was 0.50μg/ ml for pimecrolimus and 0.47μg/ml for desmethyl pimecrolimus. The approach has been validated in accordance with the international conference on harmonization’s regulatory criteria. The evaluated parameters are precision, linearity, detection limit, quantification limit, specificity, accuracy and robustness. The technique may be applied to stability investigations as well as routine analysis to identify and quantify known and unidentified impurities pimecrolimus in the pharmaceutical dosage...
