Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic autoimmune and inflammatory disease that primarily affects the synovial joints and eventually destroys them. Schleichera oleosa is a plant of Indian provenance that exhibits anti-rheumatoid arthritis activity. The phytochemical constituents in the methanol extract of barks from Schleichera oleosa were identified using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in the current study. The GC–MS analysis in bark extract identified 21 phytochemical compounds. The PASS server assessed the biological activity of the reported compounds and identified six compounds with anti-arthritic and anti-inflammatory activities. Subsequently, these compounds were screened through ADME/Tox and molecular docking approaches. Two compounds 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol and 2,6-DI-Tert-butylphenol qualify for all the criteria of ADME/Tox. The molecular docking method identified compounds 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol and 2,6-DI-Tert-butylphenol had binding affinity ranging between -4.89 to -6.49 kcal/mol with the active site of anti-arthritic target proteins Chitotriosidase-1 and Vascular cell adhesion molecule 1. Nabumetone (NBT), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, is rapidly metabolized in the liver and is well known for its side effects along with its sensitivity to light; thus, it limits the formulation of a such drug when considered for skin formulations. Recently introduced a new type of carrier for bioavailability benefits and patient compliance, the “transfersomes”. Due to its elastic nature, which can deform and squeeze themselves because of their flexibility through narrow pores of stratum corneum, the transfersomes were prepared by use of phospholipid and sodium cholate, tween 80 as edge activators. Pain is the most common reason for physician consultation. Among the currently available analgesic drugs, opioids are the most efficacious but have many unacceptable adverse effects. Melatonin has been found to have antinociceptive potential in many animal and clinical studies that need further evaluation. The study aimed to assess the antinociceptive effect of melatonin alone and in combination with pethidine. Twenty Swiss albino mice were divided into four groups, each containing five animals receiving respective drugs. Tail flick and tail clip methods were used to assess antinociceptive effect of the drug. Background and Aim: The prevalence of DM worldwide is estimated to be 415 million, which is anticipated to surpass 642 million in the next 25 years. Good glycaemic control reduces the incidence of complications associated with diabetes and thus improves microvascular diseases. Complexity can be regarded as the root cause of low adherence and thus result in interactions. This study aimed to evaluate the complexity of medication regimens in patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and its impact on medication adherence and glycaemic control. Methodology: A hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted on 265 patients with diabetes in NIMS Medicity, Kerala, for 6 months, and the association between predictive and outcome variables was analyzed. Results: The final analysis included 265 diabetic patients who met the inclusion criteria. A simple, accurate, and precise dual-wavelength spectrophotometric method was developed to determine Paracetamol and Piroxicam in combined pharmaceutical dosage form simultaneously. The principle for the dual wavelength method is “the absorbance difference between two points on the mixture spectra is directly proportional to the concentration of the component of interest”. The pre‐requisite for the dual wavelength method is the selection of two such wavelengths where the interfering component shows the same absorbance. In contrast, the component of interest shows a significant difference in absorbance with concentration. The wavelengths selected for paracetamol were 257nm, whereas the wavelengths selected for the determination of Piroxicam were 353nm. 0.5M NaOH was taken as a solvent. The regression analysis of Beer’s plots showed good correlation in a concentration range of 2‐10 μg/ml for paracetamol and 2‐10 μg/ml for Piroxicam.
