Telmisartan has a strong, nonpeptide antagonist with long-acting angiotensin II type-1 (AT 1) receptor to treat essential hypertension. It is classified as a BCS class II medication, meaning it has poor solubility and high permeability. Because of their capacity to minimise toxicity and change bioavailability, niosomes are becoming increasingly essential in medication delivery. Telmisartan-loaded niosomes were created by adjusting the span 60 and cholesterol ratios in a thin film hydration technique and then assessed for vesicles size, entrapment efficiency and drug release. Batch N6 fulfilled all the requirements and hence it was selected as an optimized formulation of noisome. This investigation supports the use as carriers for developed niosomes to enhance the administration of Telmisartan by oral...

Objective: This study gives an overview of prescribing pattern of antibiotics in children in our tertiary care teaching hospital. Methods: It is a prospective observational study carried out on paediatric in-patients with a sample of 160 patients based on age, inclusion, and exclusion criteria for a period of 6 months. The patient’s data were collected using a patient case record form and the data analysis was done. Results: Out of 160 patients data that were collected, the results showed that the majority of gender which were admitted to the hospital were male children 89 (55.62%), and many were from the age group of early childhood (6-12 years) 64 (40.00%). Respiratory tract infections were the diagnosis most commonly analyzed; overall, 236 prescribed antibiotics, cephalosporins 121 (51.21%) were commonly evident, and parenteral 161 (68.22%) – route of administration was observed to be followed more than other routes. Conclusion: Antibiotic Resistance is a worrisome factor worldwide, challenging treatment regimens. Surgeons & Physicians worldwide find it difficult to cope with the increased resistance...

In this research work, numerous molecules that have substituted triazole phthalazine derivatives were obtained using phthalic anhydride as a starting material. It was taken as starting material that gave reaction in the precence of different conditions with different substituted benzoyl chloride that yielded 6 chloro-3 substituted 6a, 10 a-dihydro-[1, 2, 4] triazolo [3, 4-a] phthalazine derivatives (I-V). These intermediates further reacted with substituted benzaldehyde and yielded 4-2-3-Substituted – 6a, 10 a-dihydro-[1, 2, 4] triazolo [3, 4-a] phthalazin-6-yl) substituted hydrazinyl derivatives (VI-X) which were further react with triethyl amine and acetyl chloride yields (XXI-XXX). The antidiabetic effect was investigated using oral glucose tolerance test in normal and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) in STZ-rat model. In this model Roziglitazone taken as a standard drug for this pharmacological...

Arthritis is a joint disorder which is characterized by inflammation. A joint function to move the body parts connected by its bones. Arthritis means inflammation of one or more joints. The study investigates the anti-arthritic activity in rodents by use of in-vivo parameters Paw volume, Knee diameter, Paw thickness, Paw oedema, and body weight. Some biochemical parameters were also done, such as SGOT, SGPT, Total protein estimation, ESR rate, Haemoglobin level Histopathological investigation. Animals serving as arthritic control received 2% formaldehyde 0.1ml throughout the study; while the animals in the standard group received 10mg/kg of Indomethacin. The animal in the test group received 240mg/kg extract once daily by oral route. The results revealed that preliminary phytochemical screening of Salix alba extract, revealed the presence of following phytoconstituents i.e., alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins and proteins. The proximal analysis of extract was found ash value, acid value and moisture content. Histopathology was represented, Normal control group joint normal synovial membrane and joint space, Negative control group Arthritis characterized by the presence...

To the best of our knowledge, the factorial design methodology has never been used to estimate Thymoquinone (TQ) using the reverse phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) method, making our work unique. The study aimed to create, verify and validate a simple stability-indicating analytical technique for quantitative detection of TQ in Ayurvedic formulations, black seed and polymeric nanoformulation using Design-experiment® (DOE) version 12. The technique was developed utilizing a Luna C18 HPLC column with a mobile phase of water: methanol (25:75, v/v), administered isocratic ally at 1 ml/min, at 253 nm. The validation parameters were carried out in compliance with ICH criteria using the Quality by Design (QbD) approach. The devised technique was shown to be specific, linear (R2 > 0.999) across the specified concentration range of 0.5 to 16 µg/ml, with detection and quantification limits of 0.02 and 0.08 µg/ml, respectively. The applicability of the new approach was evaluated using the TQ entrapped polymeric nanoparticle. TQ entrapment efficiency for prepared nanoformulation was found to be 82.87 percent. The experimental...
