Background: The study has been carried out to assess the perception health status, self-medication practice and quality of life of adolescents in West Tripura and to find out the factors affecting them. Methods: A cross-sectional study has been carried out in West Tripura district. The students of all the schools of randomly selected sub-division were the study population. For data collection, SF-36 item short item Health Survey instrument was used. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, multiple linear regression, one sample t test, independent sample t test and ANOVA test. For self medication including illicit drug use separate tool was used. Results: 49.1% of adolescents were found to have adequate health status in this study. Quality of life was found to be high in 44.4% of adolescents. Age, gender and study class of adolescents was found to be significantly associated with their health status. The use of antibiotics to treat infections requires treatment of microbial communities in the gut which causes antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) as a side effect. The number of people using probiotics to manage these effects remains low because there is insufficient awareness of their proper usage. An investigation examines pharmacy student understanding and perceptions about the co-administration of probiotics with antibiotics by studying effectiveness together with timing variables and treatment costs and values. The survey at KMCH College of Pharmacy used structured questionnaire research methodology to evaluate students’ comprehension of probiotic advantages and timing and financial details as well as probiotic-antibiotic interaction awareness throughout the two-month study period. Survey results demonstrated that more than three quarters of participants understood the effects of probiotics against antibiotic side effects, yet respondents exhibited gaps in their understanding about correct strain pick and appropriate timing and storage procedures. The use of topical drug delivery systems is becoming increasingly popular due to their convenience and effectiveness. However, the potential of proniosomal gel for delivering econazole nitrate topically has not been widely studied. This study focuses on designing and optimizing a proniosomal gel formulation of econazole nitrate to improve antifungal therapy. The proniosomal gel was prepared using the coacervation phase separation method, incorporating Span 60, cholesterol, and other ingredients. The ratio of non-ionic surfactants to cholesterol significantly affects drug entrapment efficiency and release characteristics. The formulated proniosomes were evaluated for parameters such as entrapment efficiency, vesicle size, and in vitro drug release. Optimization using a central composite design examined the impact of varying Span 60 and cholesterol ratios on these properties. The optimized formulation showed a sustained drug release of 12 hours and a high entrapment efficiency of 95.41% at an optimal Span 60-to-cholesterol ratio of 6.65:1.
