Apples are rich of vital components to the human health, such as the amino acids, but their presence differ according to the type and colour of the apples. In this study we compared the concentrations of amino acids in the peels and pulps of red and green apples, by using the HLPC for analysis. 16 amino acids were found with different concentrations according to the locality in which they exist in the red and green apples cultivars. The content of amino acids in the pulps was found higher than in the peels in both the red and green apples cultivars. The content of amino acids in the green apples recorded higher value than in the red apples. Higher concentrations of Aspartic acid were found in the peels and pulps of the red and green apples while the content of Methionine acid decreased, which was considered as the lowest amino acid found in the two apples cultivars and Histidine amino acid was not detected in both red and green apples...

The ultimate aim of this research work is to develop a cisplatin loaded chitosan nanoparticle system (CCNP) to facilitate the release of cisplatin in a more sustained manner to improve therapeutic efficacy via the reduction of its toxicity. As a step-in formulation studies the work has been limited to studying the various physical characters of CCNP using a zeta nanosizer. The chitosan polymer was selected in this study because of the high poly-cationic, biodegradable and biocompatible characters. The drug of choice is cisplatin, a well-known anticancer drug, used in the treatment of various cancer types. CCNP was prepared using the ionic gelation technique and characterized using the Malvern zetasizer nano zs instrument, UK to find out the polydispersity index (pdi), zeta potential and particle size determination. The ideal nanoparticles were exhibiting + 45.4 mV, 595.3 z.dnm and 0.6 pdi. The study concluded that CCNP can be formulated at an optimum concentration of 40 µg/ml of cisplatin entrapped in 2 mg/ml of aqueous solution of chitosan in the presence of...

Lutein is a lipid soluble, oxygenated derivative of hydrocarbon carotenoid, from xanthophyll family which is naturally present in egg yolk, vegetables and several dark green plants. In human eyes, Lutein and zeaxanthin are the only two carotenoids present in the macula region to filter the harmful ultra violet rays. They protect the eye from oxidative damage associated with diseases such as cancer, cataracts and age related macular degeneration (AMD). Treating AMD is expensive and also prone to after effects of the treatment. Hence a natural low cost alternate has been investigated in this research article. Eichhornia crassippes, an aquatic perennial herb weed belongs to pontederiaceae family a dark green-leaf was taken as source for the lutein extraction as it has carotenoids in abundance. Lutein was identified, isolated and purified from crude leaf extract and was analysed by GC-MS, TLC and HPLC using hexane as mobile phase. To improve the bioavailability and stability of lutein, it was micro-emulsified with coconut oil using high energy sonication method. The oil in water...

In this research work, a well established method was used to synthesize of stannane of 2, 4-hexadienoic acid and its characterization was carried using ultraviolet (UV)-visible and 1H NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance). Our research aimed at developing a potent multi-target drug which could act as antibacterial agent and also peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR γ) agonists that is having the potential to activate the PPAR γ. In vitro antibacterial study was carried out against, Staphylococcus aureus (gram positive) and Escherichia coli 1610 (gram negative) using ‘well diffusion method’. It was followed by in silico docking studies, using computational software iGemDock v2.1 tool and its effect on glycemic and lipid parameter was also studied. Pharmacokinetic properties were studied using pkCSM software developed by the University of Cambridge. Drug likeness study and all the specifications were tested with the help of Molinspiration Molecule Viewer software available online. It was observed that the stannane of 2, 4-hexadienoic acid inhibited the bacterial growth of Staphylococcus aureus (gram positive) and Escherichia coli 1610 (gram...

In present study total 2352 samples were collected out of that 21.04% were positive for Typhoid fever while 78.95% were negative. The sex wise distribution results showed male are more effected (12.71%) as compare to female (8.33%). However, the age wise distribution showed that 10.45% in 6-10 years, 6.54% in 3-6 years and 4.03% in 1-3 years. Moreover, the Typhoid fever cases were significantly high (8.41%) in Pashtoon followed by (6.93%) in Baloch, (4.16%) in Punjabi and (1.53%) in Hazara. The 11.60 % Typhoid fever was observed in the patients with low socioeconomic status, 6.67% in middle socioeconomic status and 2.76% in the patients belonged to high socioeconomic status. The electrolytes imbalance results revealed that Sodium was low in 9.82% patients and Potassium was low in 7.21% patients while the calcium was low in 4.01% Typhoid patients. The significant Typhoid fever cases were reported in July (2.97%) August (3.13%) and September (3.92%) as compared to other months of the...
