Syzygium dhaneshiana is a new plant species of Syzygium is described from the Southern Western Ghats, Kerala, India. The medicinal values of the plant is so far unexplored, hence the study forms a basis for the bioactive components present in the plant. The aim of this study is to screen the phytochemicals present in the leaf and bark of the plant and the analysis of bioactive components present in it. The leaves and bark were successively extracted using petroleum ether, chloroform, ethanol and water based on the increasing order of polarity. The result reveals the presence of Carbohydrates, protein, amino acid, alkaloids and phenols in all the extracts. Saponin, fixed oils and fats were present in the leaf extracts. The GCMS analysis reports shows the presence of 17 Compounds in the leaf ethanolic and 19 in leaf chloroform extract of Syzygium dhaneshiana by comparing their retention time and their mass spectra. Introduction: The warfarin management programs include mainly routine INR measurement, dosing protocols, clinical management protocols for excessive anticoagulation, and patient education. There have been numerous investigations to explore the most appropriate model for outpatients, accordingly different Anticoagulation Management Programs have been emerged in practice. Aims and objectives: This study is an attempt to develop concise warfarin protocol that expands role for the community pharmacist in Iraq. Patients and methods: A prospective case-controlled carried out on patients discharged from the hospital on warfarin therapy in combination to their prescribed medications. The main objective of the work was to extract the active ingredient in Cymbopogon citratus leave and to formulate a mosquito repellent cream naturally obtained from medicinal plants instead of commonly available synthetic repellents and insecticides such as N-Diethyl-3methylbenzamide (DEET), which are carcinogenic and non eco-friendly. The formulation of cream have smooth texture with a pH 7.30 which is non-irritant and suitable for the skin. The efficacy of the extract of Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) was investigated on mosquito in this research using different concentrations of the oil extract. The sample (cream) with the highest concentration of the active ingredient extracted was found to be most effective in repelling mosquitoes. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of Glycosmis pentaphylla (GP) leaf powder against sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) induced toxicosis in adult albino rats. Forty eight albino rats having body weight 150-200 gm of either sex were randomly divided (equally) into four groups viz., I0, I1, I2, I3. Sodium arsenite was administered at 4mg/kg body weight daily in drinking water for 90 days to all rats of groups I1, I2 and I3. The rats of group I2 and I3 were orally treated with leaf powder of G. pentaphylla at 500mg/kg and 250mg/kg (1/10th of and 1/20th of LD50) daily from 91st day to 120th day. Distilled water was given to rats of I0 for 120 days and rats of I1 for 91st day to 120th day.
