This review aims to provide a brief overview of different mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of asthma, a variety of cells, and mediators released from these cells, which have an important role in the pathophysiology of asthma. Asthma is a heterogeneous disease which having complex pathophysiology and affects many individuals. Asthma is an inflammatory disease in the airway, leading to airway hyperresponsiveness, obstruction, mucus hyper-production, and airway wall remodeling. Status asthmatics is characterized by hypoxemia, hypercarbia, and secondary respiratory failure. The structural, mechanical, and inflammatory abnormalities related to asthma and the different mediators like histamine, cytokines, leukotrienes, thromboxane’s inflammatory cells eosinophils, mast cells are important in asthma pathophysiology. TGF-h and IL-11 are the main cytokines that are involved in airway remodeling. Mast cells are responsible for initiating inflammatory responses after exposure to allergens and the resulting immediate bronchoconstriction. Macrophages releasing the mediators may be responsible for amplifying the inflammatory process. Dendritic cells act as antigen-presenting cells and play a role in the chemotaxis of T cells. Eosinophils are a...

Obesity is related with a number of metabolic difficulties, growing obesity may disrupt hormonal and metabolic systems, which may lead to the body storing extra energy in a variety of forms. The amount of total energy the body has stored as fat is negatively associated with the rate at which leptin circulates in the bloodstream, which is predominantly produced by adipose tissue. It is widely accepted that central serotonin contributes to the inhibition of hunger in mammals and recent reviews have elucidated the mechanisms behind these effects. The hypothalamus regulates hunger as well as energy homeostasis. The digestive tract and adipose tissues are just two examples of peripheral afferent signals that complex brain networks combine to create efferent responses that regulate food intake and energy use. Origin of ghrelin in the circulation is the abdomen and gut. Dopaminergic circuits are used to control intake of food, according to research on human brain imaging. According to the carbohydrate-insulin paradigm, adipose tissue’s endocrine dysregulation rather than acting as a passive fat-accumulator...

Iriflophenone 3-C-β-D glucoside is a Benzophenone derivative which can be obtained from various plant sources like Aquilaria crassna, A. sinensis, A. malaccensis, Cyclopia genistoides, Mangifera indica, Dryopteris ramosa etc. It can act as an important herbal active constituent as it has various pharmacological actions, such as Antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial agent. Some scientists demonstrated the antioxidant activity of Iriflophenone 3-C-β-D glucoside and have seen that this compound has no radical scavenging ability against DPPH [2,2-diphenylpicrylhydrazyl] but scavenged ABTS [2,2’-azino-bis(3- ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid)] and peroxyl radicals. So, it can be used as an anti- oxidant agent. From A. sinensis 8 compounds were isolated among which Iriflophenone 3-C- β-D glucoside was present. It is proved that all the isolated compounds have α-glucosidase inhibition activity stronger than acarbose, that is taken as positive drug control. Aqueous fraction of D. ramosa is used for so long by the inhabitants of the Galliyat region of Pakistan to treat their GIT ailments caused by bacteria. Scientists showed that Iriflophenone 3-C-β-D glucoside that is obtained from...

Opsonisation is the process of coating infections with antibodies to make them more receptive to phagocyte ingestion. Opsonization is a crucial step in host defence that prepares particles or complexes for easy ingestion by phagocytic cells. It has been acknowledged that activated macrophages could proactively capture opsonized nanoparticles in the bloodstream and then accumulate in the reticuloendothelial system (RES) organs. Based on this fact, a trapping strategy is proposed, transforming a normal nanoparticle into an opsonized attractant to target and regulate macrophage polarization. Developing an effective therapeutic approach against systemic infections linked to chronic immunodeficiency illness presents a significant problem for medical practitioners. Long circulatory carrier systems provide a practical substitute for dealing with the problems caused by systemic infections. The pathophysiology of opsonization is when the process is not occurring. Opsonization fights off foreign invaders like bacteria and viruses, supports self-tolerance, and inhibits autoimmunity. Self-tolerance is the ability of the immune system to recognize its self-antigens without mounting a response. However, the extent to which the carrier system has obscured the...

Flavones make up one of the biggest subgroups of the secondary metabolite class of flavonoids, which has more than 9000 known structural variations. It is shown that they are present in practically all plant tissues naturally. In the literature, many flavone aglyca and their O- or C-glycosides have been described. Numerous potential uses exist for flavones due to their wide range of biological activities in plants and their numerous interactions with other species. These include plant breeding, ecology, agriculture, human nutrition, and pharmacology, in addition to plant breeding. Flavones are abundant polyphenols of plant origin that have been extensively studied for their pharmacological properties. Flavones are a subclass of flavonoids with their structural basis in 2-phenylchromen-4-one (flavus = yellow). Cereals and plants are the primary sources of flavones. Since flavones are physiologically active substances, several synthetic techniques have been developed. We have attempted to include a variety of synthetic methods for the synthesis of flavones in this update. Claisen-Schmidt condensation and Baker-Venkatraman synthesis are two well-known techniques for creating...
