The brain alternates between wakefulness, nonrapid eye movement (NREM) sleep and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep during sleep. Sleepwalking, sleep terrors, sleepwalking and sleep paralysis are common examples of the behavioral manifestations linked with parasomnias or partial arousals from sleep. Sleep Paralysis is a condition in which someone lying supine position, about drop off to sleep or just upon waking from sleep realize that she/ he unfit to speak or walk or cry out, this may lose many seconds or moments, occupationally longer. The sensation of being paralyzed can be accompanied by various vivid and powerful sensory sensations, such as mentation in visual, aural, and tactile modalities and a distinct sense of presence. People always feel that they’ve been hanging by someone or wrong, sometimes, cases report this type of problem. They feel that wrong is following, sitting behind them going to be attacked is the condition they feel, in this. Composition reviewed the causes of sleep palsy and what’s sleep; many sleep diseases are bandied then. This review...

A rapid, sensitive, selective and robust quantitative densitometric high-performance thin-layer chromatographic method is developed and validated for separation and quantification of flavonoids namely rutin, quercetin, kaempferol and myricetin in herbal formulations. The separation is performed on silica gel 60F254 high-performance thin-layer chromatography plates using phase cyclohexane: ethyl acetate: formic acid 12:9:0.4 (v/v/v) as the mobile phase. A precise and accurate quantification is performed using linear regression analysis by plotting the peak area vs concentration in range of 200–1000 ng/band with regression coefficient, R2 from 0.997 to 0.998 for selected flavonoids. The developed method is validated in terms of accuracy, recovery and inter- and intraday study as per International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines. The method is found sensitive, accurate and reproducible. Therefore, it can be recommended for marker-based standardization and quality assurance. The present research work is an attempt for simultaneous quantification of rutin, quercetin, kaempferol and myricetin in a single mobile phase. The validated HPTLC method can be further applied to evaluate the quality of any plant reported...

The cases of skin infections are increasing daily, and the conventional treatment loses its strength in treating those skin infections because of resistance of the microorganisms against the medications, including antibacterial as well as antifungal with the topical and oral administration, or both. The advancement of the treatment of treating skin infections by the combination with the synthetic drug (allopathic medicine) with the polyherbal formulation is known as Allopolyherbal formulation, which gives a wonderful result in the treatment of skin infections due to microorganisms (bacteria & fungus) by lowering the side effects and increasing the pharmacological activity of the synthetic drug (allopathic medicine) with the synergistic therapy in targeting the microbes and also shows the better patient compliance with the reliable therapeutic effects. In this research work, the allopolyherbal formulation contains the polyherbal formulation, which includes A. indica (Neem), O. tenuiflorum (Shyamatulsi), P. emblica (Amla), and A. barbadensis (Aloe) which have the potency enriched with antimicrobial activity and the allopathic drug, the antibacterial (chloramphenicol) and antifungal (terconazole) are used...

Hydrogels are cross-linked polymers with the capacity to bulge in an aqueous medium. Because of their extraordinary properties, these are utilized as brilliant drug delivery vehicles that particularly necessitate focusing on the drug to specific sites. On account of the eminent hydration and biocompatibility properties generally utilized in pharmaceutical field, especially cellulose derivatives. In oral medication, many advanced technologies are introduced. More recently pulsatile drug delivery system is meant for the release of drug followed by a predetermined lag time, which is an emerging approach in chronotherapeutics. In the current research work intended to formulate the pulsicapsules of miglitol by utilizing hydrogel plugs which were prepared by cellulose ethers like ethyl cellulose and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose in ratios of drug: polymer, i.e., 1:2, 1:3. Zero size capsule bodies were treated with formaldehyde to adjust the solubility of capsules and pulsicapsules were prepared by filling the bodies with three dosages of immediate release granules of miglitol which were separated by two hydrogel plugs and closed with an untreated cap. The...

In pharmaceuticals formulation, poorly aqueous soluble medications are becoming more difficult to administer into dosage form as 40-50% of new chemical entities discovered are reported to be poorly aqueous soluble, preventing appropriate absorption from the GI tract. Oral administration is preferred over other forms of administration due to its ease of administration & painless approach. The main problem in the oral dosage form is poor bioavailability due to aqueous solubility. As a result, formulation scientists are employing several ways to improve the absorption and bioavailability of poorly aqueous soluble medication, which is difficult. The different strategies used are nano-suspensions, complexation, pH modification, solid dispersion, liposome, solid lipid nanoparticle (SLN), Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery systems (SMEDDS) and other techniques are used. In the last few decades, pharmaceutical research has been highly diversified for self-emulsifying systems: from micrometer to nanometer size. Therefore, (SMEDDS) has gained much attention as it requires a minimum dose, and the API can be protected into the hostile environment in the gut. It also forms the droplet size...
