Chenopodium album, Chenopodium murale, and Chenopodium giganteum are annual herb. Almost 250 different species of Chenopodium can be found all over the world. They are grown for many purposes, including some for their green leafy vegetables and others for the grains they provide. The phytochemicals, proteins, carbohydrates, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, and saponins have attracted a lot of interest because of their significant application to the preservation of human health. The present study deals with phytochemical screening and measuring antioxidant potential on the extract of root, stem, and leaf of selected Chenopodium species. The antioxidant potential was analyzed using the ferric-reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay activity. The antioxidant capacity of the root, stem and leaf extracts increased with increasing concentration; the values calculated µmol/ml FeSO4 equivalent (µmol/ml FeSO4/gdw) using a standard curve. Using recognized methodologies and procedures, the phytochemical analysis of the various extracts of Chenopodium album, Chenopodium murale, and Chenopodium giganteum was...

Cefpodoxime proxetil is an oral antibiotic belonging to 3rd generation Cephalosporin category. It has shown its antibiotic activity against both Gram positive and Gram-negative bacteria and has high stability in the presence of β-lactamase except Enterococci species. The drug has found its effectiveness in pediatric patients in treating respiratory tract infections. At the present time the most familiar form in which cefpodoxime proxitel is delivered is either oral tablet form or for pediatrics oral dry syrup form. The oral dry syrup form has to be administered twice or thrice a day in order to meet the required dosage regimen. Developing the sustained release formulation for cefpodoxime proxetil probably niosomal suspension can be effective in reducing the dosing frequency along with sustained release and targeted drug delivery. Niosomal suspensions are suspended form of niosomes in an aqueous phase to form liquid dosage form it is called niosomal suspension. It is a potential drug carrier for delivery of drugs orally in liquid form. The niosomal suspensions allow the targeted drug delivery...

Floating microspheres have been showing high potential for gastro retention and provide an efficient means of enhancing bioavailability and controlling the release of drugs. Metformin hydrochloride is an effective antidiabetic that required controlled release due to its Short half-life of about 4.5-7 hours and bioavailability 50-60 %. The present research works aim is to develop, evaluate and statistically optimize the Metformin hydrochloride loaded floating microspheres for treatment of type 2 Diabetes mellitus. Six formulations were prepared by ionotropic gelation method by using various polymers such as HPMC K 100 M, Carbopol 934 P, Sodium bicarbonate etc and natural polymers such as tamarind gum powder and neem gum powder. The prepared microspheres were analyzed for particle size, surface morphology, % yield, % drug entrapment efficiency, in-vitro buoyancy, in-vitro drug release studies, in-vitro drug release kinetics, stability studies etc. From the preliminary trial, F4 Formulation was found to be the best formulation with Particle size of 820± 6.15 µm, in-vitro buoyancy of 95.6% and in vitro drug release of 76.33%. From...

A spectroscopic method called Raman spectroscopy is frequently employed to discover the vibrational modes of molecules. Raman spectroscopy is frequently used in chemistry to give compounds a unique structural fingerprint. Using mass spectroscopy, one or more molecules present in a sample can have their mass to charge ratio (m/z) measured. It is frequently possible to estimate the precise molecular weight of the sample’s constituent parts using these measures. Raman spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy are complimentary analytical methods that are used to offer details on the chemical make-up and functional groups of the target analytes. Each device offers particular chemical data. When the raman spectroscopy is hyphenated with mass spectroscopy the interface used is a small piece of tissue paper. Biological Sample Analysis, New medication chemical analysis, to distinguish between positional isomers. The hyphenated approach makes it simple to get analytical findings such as molecular weights, chemical structures, and functional...

Water solubility is the rate limiting step in dissolution and bioavailability. Olmesartan medoxomil is BCS class-II drugs having low water solubility. Olmesartan medoxomil acts on cardiovascular system and used in the treatment of hypertension as antihypertensive agent. Olmesartan medoxomil have low water solubility and low bioavailability as 26%. In this research study we made Olmesartan medoxomil solid dispersion for increasing water solubility of Olmesartan medoxomil. HPMC and PVP were used as hydrophilic polymer while Lyophilization technique was used as a method of preparation of solid dispersion. We evaluated the effects of freeze drying in process yield, solubility and total Olmesartan content of the solid dispersion. This solubility study shows significant increase in solubility of solid dispersion of Olmesartan medoxomil than pure Olmesartan medoxomil. Dissolution study illustrate that, there was improved dissolution rate when compared to plain Olmesartan. The result and conclusion of this research suggest that the solid dispersion prepared in this research has successfully improved the solubility of Olmesartan...
