Cortisol is one of the vital glucocorticoids secreted by the adrenal glands and is also referred to as the “stress hormone” as the synthesis and release of cortisol by the adrenal glands is directly proportional to the stress levels in an individual. It is a catabolic hormone that stimulates gluconeogenesis and has an indirect role in liver and muscle glycogenolysis. It facilitates lipid, protein and carbohydrate metabolism. Over the years medicinal grasses have been in the highlight for their potent medicinal value. Hence, Wheatgrass was chosen for study. Wheatgrass is derived from the common wheat plant. It is the grass of the common wheat plant. It belongs to the Poaceae family. Wheatgrass is the freshly sprouted first leaves of the wheat plant (Triticum aestivum). The Wheatgrass extract was obtained from methanol. Phytochemical screening was conducted which showed the presence of carbohydrates, phenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, alkaloids, glucosides, proteins, steroids, saponins and fixed oils. Wheatgrass was taken and cell viability assay was done using MTT dye. This assay indicated that methanolic extract...

This study aimed regarding application of comprehensive stability-indicating analytical method for estimation of Escitalopram impurities in multiple brands of pharmaceutical dosage forms using reverse phase high-performance liquid chromatography. The comprehensive stability-indicating analytical method applied utilized an isocratic mode with a C18 column. The mobile phase comprised a phosphate buffer and acetonitrile (75:25v/v) at a flow rate of 1.2ml/min. A sample injection volume of 5μL was employed, and eluted analytes were monitored at 240nm. The utilized method was validated following ICH guidelines and found to be simple, specific, highly sensitive, precise, robust, and linear for Escitalopram in the range of 0.16 to 2.4μg/ml. Similarly, for Escitalopram impurities A, B, D, H, L & C, the observed linearity range was 0.25 to7.5μg/ml. Accuracy range was confirmed for Escitalopram from 0.16 to 2.3μg/ml, Escitalopram impurities A, B, H from 0.3 to 8μg/ml, and Escitalopram impurities C, D, and L from 0.5 to 8μg/ml. The solution demonstrated stability for up to 48 Hrs. Additionally, the applied method was proven to be stability-indicating by...

One in every three people suffers from some kind of neurological disorder. Considering the huge burden of the disease, it is imperative to develop and treat such conditions. Because of time constraints and obstacles, treating neurological disorders remains challenging for medical professionals. The number of new pharmacologically active lipid compounds discovered using current drug development methods is steadily growing, but these compounds are water-insoluble. Having a drug for oral administration with optimal bioavailability was a huge risk. Epilepsy is a serious medical condition that requires immediate treatment. We need to make lipid-based formulations to improve their bioavailability. Surface tension-lowering agents can result in a water-insoluble formulation. Niosomes and nanoparticles will pass freely along the blood-brain barrier. The key goals in the development of nanomedicine are safety, high therapeutic effectiveness, drug targeting to specific locations to avoid off-target toxicity and increased pharmacokinetic behaviour through prolonged drug release with a significant safety margin. As a result, the highest clinical effectiveness can be reached by combining lipid and protein...

The estimation of pharmaceutical and biological materials typically uses the key qualitative and quantitative technique known as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It is the most adaptable, secure, trustworthy, and quick chromatographic approach for drug component quality control. Uterine fibroids are non-malignant developments that create in the uterus. They are otherwise called leiomyomas or myomas. Fibroids can be asymptomatic, however when they really do cause side effects, they can incorporate weighty feminine dying, longer or more continuous periods, pelvic strain or agony, successive pee or inconvenience peeing, developing stomach region, blockage, torment in the stomach region or lower back. This survey conveys a detail portrayal of logical ways were printed for the assessment of uterine fibroids drugs and its mix medication in prescribed drugs and natural frameworks. This evaluation incorporates scientific ways like high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) study for the assessment of uterine fibroids drugs and with a blend combination. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the use of HPLC for chromatographic analysis of medications used...

Setaria italica L. is one of the world’s oldest crops, which has been cultivated and domesticated about 8000 years ago. It is known for its ecological, nutritional and medicinal properties. In Ayurveda, it is called kangu/priyangu and is believed to nourish the body tissues and absorb excessive fluids besides, widely used in the treatment of various disorders. Since, no reports are available on microscopical and phytochemical studies of the caryopsis of Setaria italica L., hence, the present study was undertaken to investigate the same. Pharmacognostic and preliminary phytochemical study of the caryopsis of Setaria italica L. were carried out using microscopy, physicochemical analysis and TLC. The microscopy shows the presence of tube cells and cross cells, starch grains devoid of hilum, and occurring singly or in aggregates, tangentially elongated cells of pericarp, and endospermic cells filled with aleurone grains. The physicochemical analysis shows 8.33% w/w LOD, 3.10% w/w, Ash value and 7.83pH.TLC did not show any colour at UV 254 and 366 nm however, three brownish colour bands of...
