Waste is anything, which is not used by any owner, producer and processor, even though it has always been a part of the earth’s ecosystem. Enriched Soil is a good source for the isolation of power full and potential microorganisms which produces specific enzymes which target the waste and in turn produces pharmacologically viable products; Microbes hold this prominent position because of their diversity and proven ability to produce new enzymes which is capable of degrading the waste from various industries. In this study we have concentrated on Fruit, coconut, leather, poultry, and paper industrial waste. Vellore is a Industrial developing medium city surrounded by three states Andhrapradesh ,Tamilnadu and Karnataka and the soils are highly enriched with industrial waste the studies in this direction is rudimentary and hence this study proves the pivotal role on enriched soils in screening of potential microbial enzymes which are used in various pharmacy...

Aim: The aims of this study were to develop liposome enriched Dexibuprofen liposomal hydrogels for topical delivery, perform in vitro release studies and in vivo permeation studies through mice/rat skin, and evaluate the efficacy of liposomal gels against inflammation induced rats. The purpose was to provide the delivery of the topical drug at a sustained rate across intact skin to improve bioavailability and inflammation control for longer period from liposomal gels. Method: Phosphatidylcholine, Cholesterol and Dexibuprofen were dissolved in chloroform/methanol (2:1, v/v) mixture and subsequently transferred into a pear-shaped flask connected to a Rotavapor (Büchi- type). Rotary evaporation method was used for the formulation of liposomes. Result: liposome prepared was evaluated for particle size measurement, percent drug entrapment, diffusion study, skin permeation study and in vivo study. F-7 batch found to be optimized batch having particle size 5.40 µm, % drug entrapment 61.70, % CDR 75.35 %. Hence F-7 batch further evaluated for skin permeation study, skin deposition study, in vivo study and stability study. Conclusion: The present study...

The objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of the Caesalpinia bonducella in animals. The analgesic action was evaluated in rats using the acetic acid-induced writhing test and the hot-plate test. The anti-inflammatory activity was estimated using carrageenan-induced paw edema in rats. Caesalpinia bonducella strikingly and dose-dependently suppressed carrageenan-elicited paw edema in rats, inhibited the writhing response in rats, increased reaction time of in the hot-plate test. These findings propose that aqua of Caesalpinia bonducella seed has evident non-central analgesic and anti-inflammatory...

The present study deals with the antibacterial activity of Acetone, Dichloromethane, methanol extracts of the tuber and seed of Gloriosa superba L. (Liliaceae) using disc diffusion method against human pathogens, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeurognisoa, Staphylocuccus aureus. In the present investigation all the extracts were found to be effective against five human bacterial species. The Dichloromethane extract showed greater activity against Proteus...

Food and nutrients play vital role in normal functioning of the body. The samples selected for this study were Ethanolic extract of Red grape seed, Ethanolic extract of green tea leaves, Commercially available grape seed extract / Isotretinion tablet, green tea extract , Vitamin A and E tablets. The Nutraceutical effects of grape seed extract and green tea extract was analyzed. The antimicrobial activity of all the above samples were studied by disc diffusion method against Pseudomoas spp., Flavobacterium spp, Aeromonas spp., Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli, lactobacillus spp., and staphylococcus spp. The antibiotic tetracycline disc used as a standard. All samples had been found to contain potent antimicrobial activity. The antioxidant activity was measured by DPPH method and compared with vitamin A and vitamin C. Both the prepared and commercially available extracts obtained more antioxidant activity than vitamin A & C. Thus the results showed that the grape seed extract and green tea leaves has antioxidant and antimicrobial...
