The investigation of herbal components in topical formulations is a response to the growing desire for natural and effective remedies. The development, modification, and characterization of a topical herbal hydrogel intended for use in dermatological applications are the main objectives of this work. During the formulation procedure, plant extracts of Turmeric, Aloe vera and Marigold were chosen for well-known medicinal properties. Viscosity and spreadability of herbal hydrogel were optimized. Spreadability and viscosity were the response variables that were employed in the design of formulation. The viscosity and spreadability of the optimized formulation were 176000 m Pa. S and 8.25 g.cm/sec respectively. Phytochemical screening confirmed that the active phytoconstituents present in the herbal hydrogel. According to the antioxidant study, the herbal formulation exhibited good radical scavenging activity, reaching up to 78.02%. Background: Medicinal plants are gaining popularity due to their reputation for being safe and effectively addressing fundamental health care demands. Standardizing medicinal products is the most recommended option because herbal therapy is becoming more and more popular worldwide. Objective: The present study examines various pharmacognostic characteristics that ensure the safety, efficacy, and purity of P. plebeium. Materials and Methods: The present work aimed to investigate the pharmacognostical and phytochemical screening of P. plebeium aerial parts by using energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), fluorescence, and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy techniques. Results: The scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis detected the presence of xylem parenchyma, phloem parenchyma, and calcium oxalate crystals. The physicochemical characteristics of P. plebeium indicate that the sulphated ash value (7.6%) is greater than the values of total ash, acid-insoluble ash, and water soluble ash. The utility of herbal medicines incresed for curative purposes in the past few years. They serve as a curative alternative for a significant section of the worldwide community. Nonetheless, assessing the reliability of such facilities continues to be challenging in guaranteeing their safe use. Acute and subacute toxicity studies were conducted in a rat model. The cytotoxicity assay and AO/PI staining of HALEPR was carried out in an endometrial cell. Acute toxicity was evaluated in female Charles Foster rats over 14 days, revealing no mortality or severe adverse effects, suggesting a Lethal Dose 50 (LD50) above 2000 mg/kg. Subacute toxicity was assessed over 28 days with no significant changes (P < 0.05) in body weight, feed consumption, water intake, or biochemical parameters. Histological examination of organ tissues indicated no notable differences between treated and control groups. The antiproliferative activity of HALEPR was investigated using primary endometrial cell cultures. Background: This study presents the extraction, fractionation, formulation, and evaluation of transdermal polyherbal films containing Curcumin and Capsaicin for potential anti-inflammatory use. Capsicum annuum extract underwent ethanol-based extraction and fractionation, isolating alkaloids for further study. Results: Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, polyphenols, and terpenoids in both Curcuma longa and Capsicum annuum extracts. Chemical fractionation was done for Capsicum annuum extract, Dichloromethane fraction given the best results for alkaloids. Compatibility studies employing FTIR and DSC demonstrated the compatibility of Curcumin and Capsaicin with excipients, crucial for film formulation. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammation disorder that primarily affects the joints and leads to the progressive destruction of joints, synovial hyperplasia bone, and cartilage degeneration. Globally 1% of the world population was affected by rheumatoid arthritis. The present study focused to identify the bioactive phytocompounds of polyherbal formulation- Erandadi Kwatham and to determine its potential in inhibiting the targets TNF-α and Hk-II, which are associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
