Cardiac electrophysiology has undergone significant advancements in recent decades, revolutionizing the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. This narrative review explores the integration of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in modern arrhythmia management. We discuss the evolution of electrophysiology studies, highlighting their crucial role in guiding ablation procedures and treatment planning. The review examines radiofrequency ablation techniques, their mechanisms of action, and outcomes across various arrhythmia types. We also explore the progress in pacemaker technology, from traditional devices to leadless and physiological pacing systems. The synergistic use of these technologies in clinical practice is emphasized, demonstrating how their integration enhances patient care. We analyze patient outcomes, comparing the effectiveness of medical and interventional approaches, and discuss long-term safety and efficacy data. The review addresses special considerations for pediatric and elderly populations, as well as patients with comorbidities. Cost-effectiveness and resource utilization in electrophysiology procedures are also examined. Looking to the future, we highlight emerging technologies and approaches, including advanced mapping systems, novel energy sources for ablation, and the potential...

Introduction: In urothelial carcinomas, the degree of invasion plays a major role in prognostication and treatment assessment. In certain instances, evaluating invasion on standard histopathological sections may be challenging. Actin-bundling protein fascin is implicated in the migration of tumour cells and is expressed more intensely in invasive tumours. Objectives: To evaluate the expression of fascin-1 in urothelial carcinoma of urinary bladder and correlate it with different grades of tumor and level of invasion and other clinicopathological parameters. Material and Methods: Observation study was conducted after approval from the institutional ethical committee. Fascin-1 immunoreactivity was studied in 45 confirmed cases of urothelial neoplasms using monoclonal antibody against fascin by immunohistochemistry. The extent, intensity, and combined immunoreactivity score of fascin-1 cytoplasmic immunoreactivity were evaluated semi quantitatively. Results: 29 cases (64.4%) had high grade urothelial carcinoma, 14 cases (31.1%) had low grade urothelial carcinoma, and two cases (4.4%) had papillary urothelial neoplasm of low malignant potential (PUNLMP) based on histological classification. In stage pTa were two cases (4.4%), of stage pT1 were...

Ayurveda is the traditional frame of health care known since old times. Dracaena reflexa is a plant of the Asparagus family with a few important phytochemical constituents utilized to treat different illnesses. In particular, its uses were widely employed in the traditional system of medicine. The present review was pointed to evaluate the phytochemistry, pharmacological properties, botanical description and microscopic characteristics of Dracaena reflexa leaves. The plant has a reliable number of important phytochemical constituents that are utilized as medications in different illness. Preparatory subjective phytochemical screening of Dracaena reflexa leaves extracts showed the presence of number of phytoconstituents such as alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, amino acids, tannins, steroids, glycosides, carbohydrates and fats. Presence of these compounds contribute to the plant’s potential therapeutic properties, including antioxidant, pain relieving, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial activities and wound healing properties. Further research into the pharmacological potential of Dracaena reflexa may reveal its therapeutic benefits. Various research findings suggested that Dracaena reflexa might be a valuable herbal medicine for a range of sicknesses, both...

This study aimed to assess the anti- anemic activity of Macrotyloma uniflorum grains and Curcubita pepo seeds against Phenylhydrazine- induced anemia in albino rats. It was done by two extraction methods. In extract-1, Macrotyloma uniflorum was collected and soaked in water for whole night and next morning the grains were tied in a clean cloth and left for 3-4 days (Sprouted). The sprouted grains were dried under shade. Then the sprouted grains are fine powdered in a mill. The powder was macerated with 50% of alcohol for 7 days and filtered. The filtrate was evaporated after the complete evaporation of the crude extract. This extract was given to the animals for 14 days and on 15th day, the blood samples were collected and examined. In extract-2, Curcubita pepo was collected, outer shell was removed and dried under shade. The dried material was fine powdered in a mill. The powder was macerated with 50% of alcohol for 7 days and filtered. The filtrate was evaporated. After the complete evaporation of...

The active compounds present in plants gained attention for their biological activity and this makes them important for the pharmaceutical industries. Butea monosperma has significant role in traditional medicines. Its leaves, bark, and flower have an important role against diabetes, filariasis, ulcers, inflammations, etc. However, till date no detailed phytochemicals profiling in flowers of B. monosperma along with their antioxidant and antidiabetic potential has reported. This study aims to measure antioxidant activity, total phenols, flavonoid contents in methanol and ethanol extract of the flower, and to identify their compounds through Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. Biological activity was determined by available literature present on NCBI, PubChem. However, Antioxidant actions were measured by DPPH and FRAP assays. Further antidiabetic potential of compound extract was analyzed using in-silico approach. It was found that methanolic extract showed better antioxidant potential than ethanolic extract. Total Phenol and flavonoid content were investigated but no significant difference was observed between the extracts. 42 major compounds were identified in methanolic extract using GC-MS, among which, 30...
