The title compounds (7a-f), (8a-f) and (9a-f) have been prepared from chalcones (6a-f) having s-triazine nucleus. These chalcones on cyclisation with hydroxyl amine hydrochloride in the presence of alkali and malononitrile in the presence of ammonium acetate give isoxazoles (7a-f) and cyanopyridines (8a-f) respectively. Chalcones (6a-f) on condensation with 2-amino thiophenol in the presence of glacial acetic acid give benzothiazepines (9a-f). Structures of newly synthesised compounds were established on the basis of their elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR. All the synthesised compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial...

The purpose of this study was to produce of microparticles for Dry Powder Inhalation, produced by environmentally driven Amphiphilic crystallization technique process by using different nonionic surfactants at different concentration and at different processing parameters, for inhalation therapy. Budesonide, as one of the inhaled glucocorticosteroids, is widely used in the treatment of asthma by pulmonary delivery. The objective of the current work was to developed microcrystals by using Amphiphilic crystallization process with different nonionic surfactants at different processing parameters. Salvation of Budesonide in aqueous Cremophor EL and Tween 20(1:1) was investigated using HPLC. A response surface type central composite design were employed using Design-Expert 5.0 software (StatEase, QD Consulting, Penzance, UK) with the factors investigated were stirrer speed, antisolvent addition rate, Cremophor EL and Tween 20. The crystals were filtered and freeze dried.Optimize the process variables for narrow particle size distribution (PSD). Cremophor EL and Tween 20 were added as the stabilizers. Freeze dried crystals were subjected to XRD, DSC and SEM analysis for stability. The PSD also depended on...

Solubility of orally administered drug is major challenge of pharmaceutical industry as nearly 35-40% of newly launched drugs possess low aqueous solubility which leads to their poor dissolution and low bioavailability, resulting in high intra & inter subject variability & lack of dose proportionality. This can be increased by different methods like salt formation, solid dispersion and complex formation. Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System (SEDDS) is gaining popularity for improving the solubility of lipophilic drugs. SEDDS are defined as isotropic mixtures of one or more hydrophilic solvents and co-solvents/surfactants that have a unique ability of forming fine oil-in-water (o/w) micro emulsions upon mild agitation followed by dilution in aqueous media, such as GI fluids.Present review provides an updated account of advancements in SEDDS with regard to its composition, evaluation, different dosage forms and newer techniques to convert liquid SEDDS to solid and also various...

Poly (D,L-lactide-co-glycolic acid) the first synthetic biodegradable polymer used in surgery as resorbabe material, is also approved by USFDA for use in drug delivery. The nanoparticle composed of PLGA can be used for both controlled and targeted drug delivery. There are various grades of PLGA which are having different biodegradation characteristics such as degradation takes place in several days to years. Thus one can develop a nanoparticulate delivery system with desired characteristics like Biodegradation, Biocompatibility, Particle size, Surface property, Drug release, Targetability and Immunogenicity. This review focus on the PLGA, its characteristics, Method of preparation of nanoparticles for lipophillic and hydrophilic drugs and the use of nanoparticles via different routes to target various disease...

The study of undertaken for heavy metal Pb accumulation by fly ash and coal waste in Singrauli industrialised district of India, using atomic absorption spectrometry. Ashes from collected vegetables and plants leaves samples were analysed for the quality and quantity of Cr, Mn, Pb, Zn, Cu, As, Ni and Co and detectable levels of all were found. Pb distrusted the metabolic processes of living organisms due to variable accumulation in plants and vegetable which affected the human populations through food chain. Presence of Pb and other heavy metals in environment has become a major threat to plant and common vegetable due to their bioaccumulation tendency and toxicity. In present investigation 6 plants leaves Syzygium Cumini, Dalbergia Sissoo, Dandrocalamus Strictus, Magnifera Indica, Tectona Grandis and Azadiracta Indica and 6 common leafy vegetables Spinacia Olaracia, Solanum Tuberosam, Raphanus Sativus, Brasica Comprestis, Trogonella Fonium and Momordica charantia were studies for monitoring or observation of current status of Pb in these plant and common vegetable species growing around the industries of Singrauli district....
