In this work, the molecular structure optimization, electronic properties like local chemical reactivity descriptors (Fukui function analysis for reactive site prediction), and thermodynamic properties (Heat capacity, entropy, zero points vibrational energy, thermal energy, translational, rotational and vibrational energy) of antifungal drugs were theoretically computed. In this work also, electronic structure, frontier molecular orbital energies (HOMO-LUMO gap for the chemical activity of drug), molecular electrostatic potential (useful for recognizing electrophilic and nucleophilic attack) and mulliken charge has been carried out. Atomic charges dipole moment, molecular polarizability, electronic parameter, and refractivity of molecular systems were calculated by the DFT method. The reactive site prediction and hydrogen bond interaction analysis was determined by using the Fukui function analysis. In this study, DFT/B3LYP/6-31+G and DFT/CAM-B3LYP/6-31+G (d, p) methods were...

Electrophoresis is an effective analytical tool for separation, as it does not affect the molecular structure, and it is also highly sensitive to small differences in molecular charge and size of the analytes. Capillary electro-phoresis is a separation technique where the ions are separated based on their electrophoretic mobility with an applied voltage. So far, the research field of capillary electrophoresis remains very active, as exhibited by a steady and significant flow of scientific reports on theory, separation modes, new instrumentation, and applications of CE techniques in various areas. Capillary electrophoresis is the most predominately used because it gives faster results and it provides a high-resolution separation. It is one of the useful techniques because there is a large range of detection methods available. This paper is devoted to providing a brief explanation of types of electrophoresis; capillary electrophoresis, and CE-based separation modes with some advantages and disadvantages along with applications. This paper also includes some of the hyphenation techniques based on capillary electrophoresis (CE-MS, CE-ICP-MS, CE-ESI-MS, CE-MALDI-MS, and...

Objective: Arjunarishta is an important Ayurvedic formulation with chief ingredient Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna), which is excellent “Hrudya” Dravya. It nourishes & strengthens heart muscles & promotes cardiac functioning by regulating blood pressure and cholesterol level. This study aims to established quality parameters for standardization of Ayurvedic formulation “Arjunarishta” on the basis of various techniques viz. Physico-chemical screening, Chromatography & IR Spectroscopy. Method: Conventional analysis such as Organoleptic tests, pH, Alcohol content, Brix, and Specific gravity was done. Chromatographic analysis was performed to estimate Arjungenin, Ellagic acid, and Gallic acid using High-Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC). IR fingerprint was done using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer. Result: The above analysis showed the pH of tested formulation ranges between 3.0-5.0, Brix 25-30%, and Alcohol content 6-10% v/v. Organoleptic tests confirmed characteristic odor of self-generated alcohol with sweet, astringent & slightly bitter taste. HPTLC analysis confirmed the presence of Arjungenin, Ellagic acid, and Gallic acid. FT-IR reveals unique transmittance spectra in the range of 4000 – 600 cm-1. Conclusion: This study can...

The extracts of Boswellia serrata possess notable medicinal uses. Boswellia serrata is a highly lipophilic drug. It undergoes extensive hepatic first-pass metabolism. The t1/2 is approximately 6 h. There are reported side effects with the administration of Boswellia serrata. This research work aims to fabricate Elastosomes which get hold of many desired features for transdermal drug delivery. The Elastosomes are prepared using thin-film hydration technique using edge activators like Span 80, Tween 80, and Brij 30. The prepared elastosomes are evaluated for entrapment efficiency percentage (EE %), particle size (PS), polydispersity index (PDI), zeta potential (ZP), deformability index (DI), drug release study, and permeation study. EF-10 was regarded as the optimized formulation with all the desired characteristics. The optimized formulation (EF-10) resulted in better prolong drug release and sustained therapeutic action as compared to the marketed...

Teff millet is progressively gaining importance worldwide due to its recognition as gluten-free food. Interestingly, its attractive nutritional profile and additional functions related to maintaining health play an important role in its identification as a nutraceutical food. The present study was conducted to analyze the nutritional, phytochemical, and antioxidant properties of teff millet. Moisture, ash, fat, fiber, protein, and carbohydrate were analyzed in this study. Minerals like calcium, iron, phosphorus, and zinc were also estimated. Result on proximate analysis showed moisture (10.5 g / 100 g), ash (2.2 g / 100 g), fat (0.5g/ 100 g), fibre (2.8 g / 100 g), protein (10.9 g / 100 g) and carbohydrate (73.1 g / 100 g) respectively. Result on mineral composition showed Calcium (168.1 mg /100 g), iron (13.1 mg / 100 g), phosphorus (420.2 mg / 100 g) and zinc (4.5 mg / 100 g) were also found in teff millet. The presence of different macro as well as micronutrients was recorded in teff millet. Phytochemical analysis indicated the...
