The review briefs the information mainly about migraine disease. It tells about genes that are responsible for migraine. Alternating Hemiplegia in Childhood, Cortical spreading depression, Monogenic Migraine, Hemicrania Ophthalmoplegia, Hemicrania Alia Definite, Hemicrania, Complicated Migraine, Status Migrinous these are types of migraine, sign and symptoms also included. The history gives all the information of scientists researching the migraine disease. Ketone bodies like D-β-hydroxybutyrate, Acetoacetate, and Acetone treat migraine. Oxidative stress and Deoxyribonucleic acid damage in patients with migraine and different channel information are given. The researcher observed new mammalian TRP channels: Canonical, Vanilloid, Melastatin, Polycystic kidney illness, Mucolipin, and Ankyrin. 31P Spectroscopy is a theory in which the quality of exemplary headache is brought about by vasospasm-initiated cerebral ischemia and the migraine by the expanded cerebral bloodstream from the resulting cerebral acidosis. The important part is a dietary antioxidant, and plant antioxidants are used for migraine...

Background: The present study aimed to evaluate the hepatoprotective activity of aqueous extract of Acalypha communis in Wistar rats. Methods: The hepatoprotective activity was studied by Thioacetamide (TAA) (100 mg/kg b.wt.i.p) and Rifampicin (RMP) (100 mg/kg, po) induced models. Acute toxicity studies and preliminary phytochemical screening were also studied to evaluate the toxicity. Results: No toxicity profile was observed in rats after oral administration of the ethanolic leaf extract at 5mg/kg body weight. The different doses of 200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg were administered with the extract of Acalypha communis; there was significant (P < 0.001) reduction in Biochemical parameters with respect to control. Phytochemical screening of the plant extract revealed the presence of tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and terpenoids. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the hepatoprotective activity elucidated by Acalypha communis could be mainly due to the presence of a high-value class of compound like the phenolic group as the major content in the...

Few studies are available to study the drug utilization pattern and adverse drug reactions of anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) in paediatric population. Hence, this study was planned with the primary objective of studying the drug utilization pattern of anti-epileptic drugs in a tertiary care centre pediatric population. The secondary objective was to assess adverse drug reactions in the same population. Data from 214 pediatric patients visiting Neurology OPD was reviewed in this prospective, cross-sectional, non-interventional, observational study for 6 months. Patients aged 1 to 12 years, of either sex, diagnosed with epilepsy, and prescribed at least one anti-epileptic drug were included in the study. Sodium valproate was the most frequently prescribed anti-epileptic drug, followed by levetiracetam, carbamazepine, phenytoin, and clobazam. 49.07% of patients received monotherapy while 50.93% of patients received polytherapy. Out of the 39 adverse drug reactions (ADR) reported, the most common ADR was drowsiness (23.08%), followed by weight gain (17.95%), lethargy (15.38%), rash (10.26%), irritability (7.69%), decreased concentration, headache, vomiting (5.13%). The most common drug prescribed for generalized...

Aim and Objective: Acid-related health problems mostly affect the quality of life and are a major factor in morbidity and mortality in patients. This study is designed to evaluate the anti-ulcer activity of Polyherbal formulation ACIDEZ against experimentally induced gastric ulcers in rats. Methodology: To determine anti-ulcer activity, ulcers were induced by aspirin plus pylorus ligation and acetic acid induced methods. The animals were treated with ACIDEZ (50 mg/kg and 100mg/kg) and the standard drug sucralfate (300mg/kg) for a particular number of days. Anti-ulcer and gastric protection activity was evaluated by ulcer index, gastric secretion, total mucosal content, and pepsin content. The results were expressed as Mean ± S.E.M., and statistical evaluation was done by one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s multiple comparison tests. Results and Discussions: The Polyherbal formulation ACIDEZ was found to be safe upto 2000mg/kg. ACIDEZ demonstrated a dose-dependent decrease in gastric juice volume and total acidity in both models. Both doses of the test formulation exhibited a significant decrease in ulcer index, pepsin content and restoration...

Purpose: Albendazole (ABZ) is a drug that shows anthelmintic activities, also used for treating neurocysticercosis, also known as pork tapeworm infection caused by contact with infected human stool, infected food, and water. But the serious challenge is the hydrophobicity of albendazole, which slow down the dissolution rate and bioavailability, so it can be given in high concentration, which can cause residual toxicity, so the purpose of this research article is to enhance the solubility of albendazole by mixed hydrotropic technique. Hydrophobic drug shows the difficulty in absorption when reaching the aqueous area, leading to failure in formulation development. Method: Solid dispersion was prepared by using a blend of citric acid and piperazine by mixing them with ABZ with the help of ethanol as solvent, carried out the content in a china dish on a magnetic stirrer until solvent evaporated completely, use of FTIR for functional group determination, determination of melting point by capillary method, determination of thermal behaviour by DSC, XRD studies were done, Further evaluation of solid dispersion...
