Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) calyx has been reported to have an antioxidant activity. Antocyanidin is the major compound of rosella and has low bioavailability as an ionic form. Rosella extract is an ucceptable due to high acidity. Development of chitosan nanoparticle from Hibiscus sabdariffa extract were expected to improve the bioavailability and the acidity problem. We studied the optimum pH and composition ratios of chitosan, extract and tripolyphosphate (TPP) to develop chitosan-nanoparticle of rosella extract. We used rosella calyx both from Indonesia and Thailand to compare the physical characteristic the extract and nanoparticles. Rosella was extracted using 60% ethanol and water, followed by evaporation using evaporator and dried by freezedryer. The optimum formation of chitosan-nanoparticles of rosella extract were observed including pH formation and composition ratios between extract: chitosan: TPP. Over production of oxygen free radicals, which is mainly mediated by super oxide, occurs in human atherosclerosis. Metoprolol and atorvastatin are the drugs which found to be more prescribed drugs for cardiovascular patients. In the present study, an attempt has been made to evaluate the levels of serum Glutathione, Total anti-oxidant status, lipid peroxidation (malondialdehide) and liver function parameters like serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase and serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase. Total 68 subjects were selected for study. Out of 68 subjects 26 were normal healthy volunteers and 42 subjects were patients who are untreated with cardiovascular diseases. The patients both male and female within the age group of 20-70 years were selected. Glutathione, total anti oxidant status, lipid peroxidation, serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase and serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase levels in plasma were estimated by using reported methods. The antitumor property of the successive, standardized methanolic (MeOH) extract of Aegle marmelos roots (MAM) was investigated in Dalton’s ascites lymphoma mice model. Materials and methods: Flavonoid present in MAM was quantitatively estimated using high performance thin layer chromatography. MAM (100, 300 mg/kg) was administered orally for 15 days to assess antitumor activity. The tumor was induced by DAL cell lines. The mean survival time (MST) and status of the antioxidant enzymes were analysed, 5 fluoro uracil (5FU) was used as standard drug. Results and discussion: Quercetin content in MAM was found to be as 208 mg/gm with the linearity range 200-800 ng. MAM treated tumor bearing mice exhibited significant (p<0.05) increase in the mean survival time. There are some locally available domestic material in our country that can be used in poultry feed. The uses of local material will decrease the feed cost as well as ensure the availability of raw materials. In this investigation we have selected twelve locally available domestic materials that are low cost and nutritious for poultry health. These raw materials play an important role on poultry health. For crude protein estimation we have used manual micro Kjeldahl method. We have applied also micro Kjeldahl automated Foss instrument to measure and compare results of crude protein content of our selected raw materials. Moisture content of these raw materials is also estimated by three different methods, because moisture plays an important role during storing and formulation of poultry feed.
