Introduction: Laparoscopic surgery is one of the most important diagnostic and therapeutic tools in the present surgical era. Laparoscopic surgeries require insufflation of the abdomen with some gas; usually, Carbon Dioxide is called pneumoperitonium, which induces pathophysiologic changes that complicate anesthetic management. To prevent and counteract these effects, appropriate monitoring and pharmacological interventions are required. Material and Method: In an observational study, sixty (60) patients of ASA physical status I or II aged between 18-60 years of age, of either sex scheduled for elective laparoscopic surgeries under general anesthesia, were observed. Inj. Dexmedetomidine infusion and Inj. Propofol infusion started at a different dose. Results: Both the drugs maintain hemodynamic stability during laparoscopy but at the time of extubation propofol group showed rise in parameters while dexmedetomidine patients were calm. Dexmedetomidine without bolus, as infusion only does result in attenuation of hemodynamic responses. Omitting the bolus dose avoided the undesirable hemodynamic effects like bradycardia and hypotension. Aim: The main of the study is to study the Effect of Various Polar & Non-Polar Extracts of Alstonia scholaris leaves in Different Models of Diabetic Nephropathy in Rats. Material & Methods: Leaves of selected plant was extracted by using various solvents, i.e., Pet ether, Dichloromethane, Ethyl acetate, methanol and water. All the extracts were screened for the presence of various active phytocompounds i.e., alkaloids, terpenoids, tannins, flavonoids and phenolic compounds etc. For the pharmacological studies, OECD guidelines were used for the toxicity studies, and 1/10th and 1/5th doses used for the entire study. All the extracts were evaluated by different diabetic nephropathy model. After an assessment of activity, various biochemical parameters were measured. Result: There was a significantly high level of blood urea nitrogen in diabetic nephropathy animals compared to the normal animals; 28 days treatment regimen showed a significant reduction in elevated urea level. Helichrysum petiolare is a herbal plant used in the Eastern Cape of South Africa to treat asthma, chest problems, colds, coughs, infections, diabetes, and high blood pressure. This study aimed to evaluate the phytochemical components and antioxidant activities of the acetone, ethanol, cold, and boiled aqueous extracts of H. petiolare. The phytochemical contents of the acetone, ethanol, and boiled and cold aqueous whole-plant extracts of Helichrysum petiolare were determined using standard phytochemical reaction methods. ABTS, DPPH, NO, and total antioxidant capacity assays were used to evaluate their antioxidant properties. This study showed the highest total phenolic content (212.963 mg/g) in the boiled aqueous extract, while the ethanol had the highest flavonoid (172.393 mg/g) and proanthocyanidin contents (65.855 mg/g). Alkaloids, flavonols, and saponin were highest in the acetone extract, while the cold aqueous extract had the lowest phytochemical content.
