The study aimed to analyze the treatment of Sitagliptin with Glimepiride to improve pancreatic beta-cells in T2DM patients. Beta cells are a type of cell found in the pancreatic islet and also synthesize, secrete insulin and amylin. Sitagliptin is found to be maintaining the beta-cells function and glycemic control in T2DM patients. Randomly diabetes mellitus type-2 (T2DM) patients’ data is collected (110 patients) for statistical analysis. For this study, T2DM patients enrolled with the age of 30-60 years, treated with Sitagliptin and Glimepiride once a day. The baseline of HbA1c >7.0% to <10.5%; thus, the performed student t-test is to find out the significant role. The 110 patients are distributed into two groups: one Sitagliptin user group (n=62) and the second Glimepiride user group (n=43). The sitagliptin treatments may also protect also beta cells as the pancreas may not able to regenerate...

Berries, fruits, and flaxseed have nowadays have increased in research studies. The berries such as Rubus idaeus (Red raspberry), Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry), Vaccinium angustifolium (blueberry) and Fragaria x ananassa Duch. (strawberry) have health beneficial compounds like anthocyanins, ellagitannins, ellagic acids, polyphenolic compounds and whereas in flaxseed the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), α-linolenic acid, omega-3 fatty acids have a potential effect on health. This study aims to evaluate for standardization of polyherbal extract obtained from berries and flaxseed by qualitative phytochemical analysis, physicochemical analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV analysis, thin layer chromatography. The maceration method is used for performing the extraction and plant-based edible polymer Acrypol 934 P for the preparation of the polyherbal ethyl acetate extract and its gel-based formulation. Different phytochemical tests and physicochemical evaluation procedures were followed for standardization of extract and afterwards gel formulation. The results confirmed the presence of various phytochemicals including flavonoids (rich in content in each), tannins, saponins, cardiac glycosides, phenolics. Different physicochemical studies including viscosity are some extent change due to...

Covid-19, caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a life-threatening disease that has been declared a global pandemic. Even with the intervention of numerous medical systems to combat Covid-19, an effective remedy is not yet in sight rather than supportive therapies accompanied with anti-viral drugs and vaccines. The usage of these medicines has caused for unexpected side effects, and at present, various mutant forms of this virus have been identified from different countries. Hence, the necessity of an effective treatment regimen is highly expected. The attention direct towards Traditional Medicine (TM) is increasing day by day as it is well known for immune modulation. Therefore, this review was conducted with the aim of systematically reviewing the relevant literature of TM based on clinical studies conducted on Covid-19 patients and provides a summary on the evidence-based potential use of TM in the treatment of Covid-19. This review was conducted by using the databases; Science direct and PubMed for studies published from 1st of December 2019 to...

In the present study, synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using leaves and stem bark of Pterocarpus indicus were tested against human breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) separately. The synthesized AgNPs were characterized using UV-visible spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and zeta potential. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were checked with the color variation, and it was confirmed by UV-vis spectral analysis. The morphology of the synthesized nanoparticles was analyzed using SEM. The XRD was done to find out the crystalline structure of the compound. FTIR measurements are carried out to identify the possible biomolecules responsible for capping and efficient stabilization of the silver NPs synthesized using Pterocarpus indicus. The synthesized leaves-AgNPs and stem bark-AgNPs of Pterocarpus indicus were tested against the MCF-7 cell line to determine cell viability. Results showed that the stem bark-AgNPs shows more stability than leaves-AgNPs due to their higher negative zeta potential (-16.3 mV) than nanoparticles biosynthesized from leaves-AgNPs (−13.1 mV). The synthesized silver nanoparticles inhibited the proliferation...

The synthetic pyrethroids used in agriculture also absorb rapidly via different routes and slowly accumulate into various vital tissues and cause adverse effects on the health status of animals. It leads to produce a number of biochemical changes at the level of nucleic acids. The freshwater fish Ctenopharyn godonidella was exposed to sublethal concentrations (1/10th of LC50 value) of λ- cyhalothrin 5% EC for a period of 1, 4, 8 and 12 days to study the toxic impacts on DNA and RNA contents in various organs such as gill, muscle liver-kidney, and brain. In control fish, DNA content was in the order of Muscle (35.78)> Liver (34.17) > Kidney (28.74) > Brain (25.60) > Gill (18.71) and RNA was in the order of Kidney (37.15) > Muscle (36.45) > Liver (32.68) > Brain (28.15) > Gill (22.56). In the present study under sublethal concentrations of λ- cyhalothrin on day 12the percent depletion of DNA content in the test tissues were in the order of: Brain (21.43) > Gill (16.36)...
