Aloe vera belongs to the family Liliaceae commonly known as Ghrit Kumari, is the ever known oldest and the most applied medicinal plant worldwide. Aloe Vera is used for vigor, wellness and medicinal purposes since rigvedic times. Health benefits of Aloe vera include its application in wound healing, treating burns, minimizing frost bite damage, protection against skin damage from x-rays, lung cancer, intestinal problems, increasing high density lipoprotein (HDL), reducing low density lipoprotein (LDL), reducing blood sugar in diabetics, fighting against acquired immuno deficiency syndrome (AIDS), allergies and improving immune system. Phytochemistry of Aloe vera gel has revealed the presence of more than 200 bioactive chemicals. Commercially, aloe can be found in pills, sprays, ointments, lotions, liquids, drinks, jellies, and creams, to name a few of the thousands of products available. In the present scenario, the aloe industry is blooming but the consumers are misguided leading to unfavorable outcome due to reasons like unawareness about its proper and adequate medicinal and health value, improper marketing and unavailability of processing units...

Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation provides the details explanation of the atomic and molecular interactions that directed by macroscopic and microscopic behaviors of the various systems. This review provides a brief do-how about the theory, procedure, algorithm, and uses of molecular dynamic simulations in different bimolecular systems. An in-depth analysis of different prospects of MD simulation viz. procedure of MD simulation, force fields, energy minimization and integration algorithms, concept of ensembles and thermostats with a list of associated software briefly explained. At last discussion of various applications of MD simulation using some recent works, indicates the potential contribution of MD in biological...

The present study aimed to green synthesis the nanoparticles using bioactive compounds from unique seaweeds and testing its application for anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, ovicidal, larvicidal and cytotoxic activity. Seaweeds are marine non- flowering plants have much of the secondary metabolites and had not been explored widely. There are very limited amount of literature are there for seaweeds. Steochospermum marginatumis a species of brown algae in the family Phaeophyta, they are found on rocky shores. The green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was synthesized from the seaweed Steochospermum marginatum. The AgNPs was formed at 60°C at 5000 rpm when the solution of silver nitrate was added to aqueous extract of Steochospermum marginatum. The UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used for characterization of AgNPs. The green synthesized silver nanoparticles were tested for various applications such as Anti-microbial, ovicidal, larvicidal and anti-diabetic and cytotoxicity using VERO cell...

Genus Urtica belongs to family Urticaceae and commonly known by name of nettles. The plant Urtica has been used as a folk medicine and as a food source from a long time. It has been used frequently for its medicinal properties since the Bronze age (3000 – 2000 B.C.) as a traditional herbal remedy in treatment of variety of diseases as rheumatism gouts, nephritis, haematuria, jaundice, menorrhagia, anemia, eczema, arthritis. It has been used for a long time as first-aid remedy in treatment of infirmities in case of bites and stings, burns, hives and breast feeding problems. Phytochemicals evaluation of the plant revealed presence of various chemical compounds like phytosterols, saponins, flavonoids, phenolic acids, tannins, proteins and amino-acids that showed beneficial potential of the plant to get commercially cultivated and get used for the natural drugs and medicine. The plant has been reported to have various pharmacological activities as antioxidants, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, anti-viral, immuno-modulatory, hepatoprotective, anti-diabetic, anti-colitis and anti-cancer...

Diabetes mellitus or sugar diabetes is a condition that occurs when the body can’t use glucose (a type of sugar) normally. It is a chronic disease associated with abnormally high levels of the glucose in the blood because of disturbances in carbohydrates, fat and proteins metabolism and it is due to one of two mechanisms that inadequate production of insulin (which is made by the pancreas and lower blood glucose), or inadequate sensitivity of cells to the action of insulin. This causes glucose levels in the blood to rise, increased urination, extreme thirst and unexplained weight loss. The prominent objective of this work was to find out the anti-diabetic and anti-hyperlipidemic activities of Origanum majorana ethanol leaf extract (100, 200, 400 mg/kg body weight) in Streptozotocin (50 mg/kg b.w) induced diabetic rats. After oral administration of such extract the blood glucose levels were recorded at specific intervals. In consequence it was observe that extract was significantly diminished blood glucose level. Simultaneously the effect of the extract on diabetes induced...
