The drug Rivaroxaban which was poorly soluble was selected for formulation of SMEDDS due to its poor aqueous solubility and its oral bioavailability which is 66%. Self micro emulsifying drug delivery system was developed to improve its solubility and bioavailability. Solubility of Rivaroxaban is determined in various oils, Surfactants, and co-surfactants by UV-Spectrophotometric method. Rivaroxaban has been shown maximum solubility in oil Peceol oil, surfactant Tween 80 and co surfactant Transcutol HP. A series of Pseudo ternary phase diagrams are constructed to identify micro emulsion region. Various compositions of Oil and Smix are titrated with water to identify micro emulsion region. From pseudo-ternary phase diagrams systems consisting of Peceol oil as oily phase, Tween 80 surfactant, Transcutol HP as co surfactant are selected for formulation. SMEDDS are prepared by selecting oil: Smix ratio 1:9 ….9:1 and Smix ratio 1:3, 1:4. Two mixtures (PTWT-2(1:9), PTWT-2(2:8) are selected for formulation of SMEDDS by keeping amount of drug constant (20mg) in all formulations. Prepared formulations are evaluated for Self emulsification and visual...

Seaweeds are not a common weed, its valued marine plants. In Indian coast around around 800 seaweed species belonging to Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta and Rhodhophyta. Seaweeds constitute one of the commercially important renewable marine living resources. Seaweeds have various commercially valuable products such as pharmaceutical and cosmaceutical compounds, plant growth pro-moters, Nitrogen fixers, bio-energy and functional foods. The seaweeds are very rich in nutrition level, because of their low content in lipids, high concentration in polysaccharides, minerals, poly-unsaturated fatty acids and Vitamins as well as their content in bioactive molecules, marine algae are known to be a good source of healthy food. The need for marine natural products like Carrageenan, Kainoids, Polycavernoside A, chondriamides A, B and C have grown enormously in the last fifty years. Especially marine macro algae are wonderful salubrious sources of biologically active natural products. This review highlights the current knowledge of seaweed biotech-nology in the...

A hydrophilic polysaccharide become isolated from green fruit of Musa paradisiaca L. by the usage of wet milling procedure and distilled water extraction the use of sodium sulphite solution, accompanied by way of maceration, centrifugation and sedimentation. The isolated polysaccharides became characterised for physicochemical properties, viscosity and flow behaviour, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and XRD study. Diverse concentrations of isolated polysaccharide had been studied for binding property towards Maize starch in traditional tablet formulation. In vivo toxicity study detected secure nature of the isolated polysaccharide. Standard, the outcomes of the present study indicated that isolated polysaccharide is resembles to starch and not useful for frozen products. Polysaccharide is shows Pseudoplastic nature with thixotropic behaviour and smooth surface and elongated oval shape granules seen on SEM Micrograph. Form experiment the optimized concentration banana starch as a binder is 5 to 6 %w/w for solid dosage forms. The outcomes of the study suggested that isolated polysaccharides is promising binding agent as a pharmaceutical excipient in drug delivery...

A sensitive and high throughput high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method has been developed for estimation of methotrexate in human plasma. The sample extraction of methotrexate and methotrexate-d3 (Internal standard) was done from 200 µL of human plasma using solid phase extraction procedure. The chromatographic retention was done on Thermo Butyl Hypersil, 50 x 4.6 mm, 5µm column under isocratic conditions using acetonitrile, 10 mM ammonium formate and 0.5% Formic aid (70:15:15, v/v) as the mobile phase. The mass transition for methotrexate (m/z 455.3 → 308.2), and IS (m/z 458.3 → 311.2) were monitored in the positive ionization mode. The method was validated over a wide-ranging concentration of 0.500-1000 ng/mL. The extraction recovery for the analyte and internal standard was 85.6 %. Stability of methotrexate in plasma was examined under different storage conditions like bench top, wet extract, freeze-thaw and long-term stability. The validated method was used to support a bioequivalence study of 15 mg methotrexate tablet in 16 adult patients. The method reproducibility was proved...

Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) dependent protein kinase plays a major role in cell signaling pathway. Over expression of extracellular cAMP dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit caused tumorgenesis in prostate. This protein may provide a base for the design of clinically applicable therapeutic strategies. In order to develop potential inhibitor of cAMP dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit, a high throughput virtual screening of zinc natural compounds database was conducted. Furthermore, QikProp, ADMET predictor and MM-GBSA was performed for ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Elimination), toxicity and binding energy prediction for ligands, respectively. Finally, molecular dynamics simulation was performed to get potential inhibitor. The crystal structure of cAMP dependent protein kinase was used for current study. The entire library of natural compounds was screened using HTVS for the primary level of screening. The binding of the compounds was studied using standard precision followed by Extra Precision algorithm of Glide Docking. On the basis of docking scores top ten hit compounds were selected for further analysis. The Binding affinity was further calculated...
