Nanotechnology is predicted to change health care essentially. The word nano originates from the Greek word “dwarf”. The idea of nanotechnology was first explained in 1959 by Richard Feynman. Nanotechnology has applications in many fields, including Medicine, Diagnostics, Drug delivery, Tissue engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Cosmeceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Dental materials, the Food industry etc. Nanotechnology is a multidisciplinary science that aims to design structures on a nanometric scale. Nanotechnology in drug delivery has appeared in nanoformulations with unique properties both in vivo and in vitro, particularly in targeted delivery. Nanotechnology has the potential to transform every aspect related to the food industry, food packaging, food storage, processing, pesticide, and food sensors which are some of the aspects of the food industry where prominent research is in progress utilizing the unique physicochemical properties of nanomaterials. Using these nanoparticles in the dietary supplement industry may improve supplement absorption and the bioavailability of drugs, nutraceuticals, and...

Background: Solvents are major part in chemical industry. Solvents have major impact on cost as well as safety and health issues. Many more organic solvents are considered toxic. Thus the concept of green chemistry is introduced which eliminate or reduce the use of hazardous solvents/chemicals from analytical process for the eco-friendly environment and health without any compromise in Analytical performance. Aim: Thus, the green chemistry goals to eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals and to search the non-hazardous solvents. Some of the methods are identified that are eco-friendly which replace the use of harmful organic solvents by use of alternatives such as The EHS method, bio-solvents, solvent less preparation techniques, RP-HPLC and UP-HPLC, Micellar liquid chromatography, Eco-friendly and economic analytical methods using hydrotropic solubilization. Result and Discussion: From the results it is identified that Contamination prevention, whether through green chemistry or other means, will be challenging for the environmental...

Plants and plant-based medicaments are the basis of many of the modern pharmaceuticals we use today for our various diseases. Pterocarpus santalinus Linn (Fabaceae) is a small to the medium-sized deciduous tree is widely distributed in the tropical regions of the world. The plant is mainly used to cure skin ailments, cough, hyper nervous activity and is also used as an anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and hepatoprotective agent. The present study aimed to determine qualitative and quantitative phytochemical and in-vitro antioxidant activities of the leaf of P. santalinus. Qualitative analysis of various phytochemical constituents and quantitative analysis of total phenol and flavonoids were determined by the well-known test protocol available in the literature. Quantitative analysis of phenolic and flavonoids was carried out by Folins Ciocalteau reagent and aluminum chloride methods, respectively. The in-vitro antioxidant activity of hydroalcoholic extract of the leaf was assessed against the DPPH assay method using standard protocols. Phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of flavonoids, diterpenes, phenol, protein, saponins, and tannins. The total phenolic and flavonoid content of...

Alzheimer’s disease, the most scattered neurodegenerative disease causes progressive destruction in serviceable performances and continuous reduction in cognitive activities and memory in aged people. It is estimated that people suffering from AD is about 10% between 65-70 years and 50% in people above 85years of age and this number will double every two decades. Even though extensive research has been carried out for decades, there is no specific therapeutic drug available for the permanent cure of Alzheimer`s Disease. In this study, squalene, a natural compound synthesized from marine shark liver oil is selected to evaluate its Anti-Alzheimer’s properties in Experimentally AD-induced Male Albino Rats. In the present study, in-vivo experiments were carried out to test the Anti-Alzheimer’s property of Squalene on Male Albino Rats under D-galactose-induced AD. The estimation of ACh and AChE content in the Cerebral Cortex and Hippocampus was done in different groups of rats at different time intervals. The results revealed that in experimentally AD-induced Rats, Squalene caused significant ACh content elevation while reducing AChE activity...

Liposomes are considered to be safe for usage; they have been used hugely in cosmetics. Biologically obtained compounds of phospholipids have a high affinity to the skin’s surface. Liposomes are highly permeable and have more storage capacity on the stratum corneum and also it is considered a chemically active agent to the skin. Most future studies on liposomes involve drug delivery in cosmetics. Liposome formulations are prepared from phospholipids of variant sources like egg and soya; they were differentiated in terms of their result on the skin like water content, Elasticity, Barrier function. Liposome has a variety of phospholipids giving a variety of effects on the skin humanity. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity is a category poses by the plant of phenolic compound metabolite. The ideal property of the compounds are stable and also act as a bioactive ingredient in plants, but it will give the property after the process of extraction; they are considered to be very sensitive to light and heat sources; they have the property like speed...
