To solve the problem of low drug availability in the body, acyclovir was fabricated into biodegradable gelatin nanoparticles by step-wise two-times desolvation method where gelatin was used as biodegradable polymer and glutaraldehyde was utilized as a cross-linking agent. Optimization was conceded by design expert computational application whereby the outcome of gelatin polymer concentration (X1) and glutaraldehyde-crosslinking agent (X2) were studied on particle size (Y1), zeta potential (Y2), and entrapment efficiency (Y3). The drug-loaded gelatin nanoparticle formulations were characterized by particle size, surface charge, and entrapment efficiency. ANOVA studies also evaluated drug-loaded gelatin nanoparticles. The optimized formulation (F9) of 0.8% gelatin polymer (X1) and 250 μl of glutaraldehyde-crosslinking agent (X2) containing acyclovir: gelatin ratio of 1:8, which showed a particle size, zeta potential and maximum entrapment efficiency of 139.87 nm, -32.67mv and 91.23%...

Anustrca annlipes (fiddler crab), often called crab, are decaped crustaceans of the uca family. They belong to the ocypodidae family, which contains over a hundred species of semi-terrestrial sea crabs. 11 of the 13 genera in the ocypodidae crab family are made up of more than 100 fiddler crab species. The species can be found on sea and brackish intertidal mud flats, lagoons and swamps, mangroves, salt marshes, and sandy or muddy west coasts. Anustrca annlipes also promotes the turnover and mineralization of critical nutrients and several species-specific body colour patterns that can act as intra- and intra-specific signals. Compared to female and smaller male uca annulipes crabs, they excavate their tunnels. An antimicrobial is a substance that kills or inhibits the development of bacteria. Antimicrobial medications are classified based on the bacteria they predominantly target. Through review number of antimicrobial proteins from Anustrca annlipes were identified. So the antimicrobial protein enolase from Anustrca annlipes sequence was retrieved from NCBI databases. Gene annotation was carried out by using amigo...

The most commonly used analytical method in drug research is reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). RP-HPLC methods also use huge quantities of solvents and generate by-products that must be disposed of, posing environmental and operator health worries. Micellar Liquid Chromatography (MLC) is a green chromatographic process for pharmaceutical analysis in which surfactants are applied above the Critical Micellar Concentration in the mobile phase (CMC). The ability of micelles to solubilize compounds that are not soluble or sparingly soluble in water is one of their properties; this property is critical for advancing analytical methods. MLC is also compliant with current RP-HPLC systems. As a result, no changes to the current RP-HPLC instrument are needed. MLC (micellar liquid chromatography) is a green and long-term method for analyzing medication compositions. MLC is not only the more environmentally friendly option, but it is also the more cost-effective. It is believed to have a mobile phase of 90% or more water (v/v), which can be recycled if injection volumes are small and far apart....

The present study is designed to enhance the aqueous solubility of diclofenac sodium. For the said purpose co-crystal employing chitosan with diclofenac sodium is prepared by solvent exchange. The prepared co-crystal was characterized by FTIR, DSC, XRD and TGA studies. Further, solubility, anti-inflammatory activity and in-vitro release study was determined for different batches of the formulation. The solubility of different bathes of co-crystal was found to be between 34.6 to 46.6µg/ml as compared to the pure drug having a solubility of 18.6 and a physical mixture of 30.9µg/ml. The in-vitro release is found to be 72.5 to 84.8%, whereas PM shows 58.7 % release and pure drug shows 27.8 % release. The in-vitro release data of the optimized batch followed fickian diffusion mechanism. The % inhibition of formulation co-crystal is much more than the model drug (diclofenac sodium). Thus, the diclofenac-loaded co-crystal would be useful for delivering poorly water-soluble drugs with enhanced dissolution, solubility and improved anti-inflammatory activity of the...

Introduction: Scapulae bear a shallow articular concave fossa commonly known as glenoid cavity that accommodates the head of the humerus to form a shoulder joint. The size and shape of glenoid fossa is highly variable; hence, knowledge about morphological measurements is invariably essential for surgery and artificial prosthesis pertaining to shoulder joint pathology. Aim: Glenoid fossa morphometry to study its various shapes and diameters in dry human scapulae. Materials and Methods: Dry bone scapulae were obtained from the bone room of the post-graduate department of Anatomy S.C.B Medical College Cuttack. Ninety-seven samples were studied, out of which 45 belonged to the right side and 52 left sides. All the measurements were carried out by verniers caliper for the height of glenoid fossa (A =A1+ A2) and breadth (B = B1+B2). A Goniometer measured the glenoidal version. Observation: The oval shape was the most common glenoid fossa observed, amounting 42(43.3%). The mean value for length with Standard Deviation was 31.5±3.16 millimeters and the mean and standard deviation Breadth was 21.99±2.76...
