Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic progressive inflammatory autoimmune ailment with multifactorial etiology. The human gut is a massive intricate ecosystem where microbiota, nutrients, and host cells interact extensively to uphold gut homeostasis. Gut microbiota acts as a modulator of immunity and dysbiosis has detrimental effects on health by triggering a persistent inflammatory response that may eventually result in disease. Probiotics are live microorganisms that can normalize gut microbiota and boost the host’s health when administered in adequate amounts. Recent research has demonstrated that probiotics have important roles in the makeup of the gut microbiota, which can prevent pathogenic bacteria from colonizing the intestine, support the host in developing a strong intestinal mucosa defensive barrier, and reinforce the host immune system. Probiotics have positive effects on health, including immune system regulation and anti-inflammatory activity by preventing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNF-. Probiotics may affect NF-kB, proteasome activity, Toll-like receptors, as well as their regulators and stimuli, at various sites along the MAPK pathway. Because of the close...

Currently, the arise of drug resistance and undesirable off-target effects of anti-cancer agents are major challenges for cancer treatment, which energizes medicinal chemists to develop more anti-cancer agents with high efficiency and low toxicity continuously. sulphonamide derivatives are a class of promising compounds with diverse biological activities including anti-cancer, and parts of them have been marketed for cancer therapy. In this review, we summed up the synthesis of sulphonamide derivates and their anticancer activities. Today Cancer remains to be one of the deadliest diseases in the world. Due to the potential anticancer activity of the campholinicaldehyde and sulfonamide moieties, five novel hybrid compounds containing both structures have been designed and synthesized in 3 steps. The synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectral data, and elemental analysis and also, they were screened for in-vitro anticancer activity on human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 and HELA by the MTT assay method. Among them,4-fluoro-N-(4-(4-oxo-2- ((2,2,3-trimethylcyclopent-3-en-1-yl) methyl) thiazolidine-yl)phenyl) benzene sulfonamide (Fig. 5b) showed the most potent...

The incidence of colorectal cancer in India ranks fourth in men and third in women. Carcinogenesis is a process that involves a combination of mutations in oncogenes, tumour suppressor genes or epigenetic changes in DNA such as methylation. Our study aim to assess the clinicopathogical significance of serum Prolactin, CA19-9 and C – reactive protein in colorectal cancer. Population based case control study, which includes 120 participants and 120 healthy volunteers during the time period of one year. In our study we found, CA19-9 tumor markers reflected more specificity as compared to sensitivity and efficiency. Prolactin were significantly higher when compared with control. Further prolactin levels were significantly elevated in different stages of CRC malignancy as compared to controls. Our values demonstrated the progressive increase corresponding to clinical staging, tumor size and notable in relation to nodal status of colorectal squamous cell carcinomas. Our results may provide new approaches in the diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring the risk factors and combines both gross as well as microscopic information to determine...

Tartrazine is a lemon-yellow synthetic food colourant belonging to azo group. The Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) of tartrazine is 7.5mg/kg However, it is possible that more than permissible amount of Tartrazine is used to make food items more attractive. This may pose threat to consumer’s health. Hence the overall aim of the study was to detect and quantitate the presence of tartrazine in commercially available as well as locally made and sold fruit juices and jams. Fresh fruit juices (Branded and Non-Branded) and jams purchased from shops and street vendors in Belagavi city of Karnataka, India were subjected to High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC). Silica gel aluminum plate 60F254 was used as the stationary phase and Iso-propanol: Ammonia (6:4) v/v was used as mobile phase. HPTLC has many advantages over the other analytical methods applied for tartrazine estimation. The method was validated using analytical parameters like linearity, range, precision, specificity, LOD, LOQ and robustness. Out of the 10 branded fruit juices analysed tartrazine was present in 9 samples...

A simple, precise and sensitive High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method has been developed for the quantitative estimation of Lafutidinein bulk and tablet dosage form. The method was performed on Silicagel 60 F254 aluminum plate. A Camag HPTLC system comprising of Camag Linomat IV semiautomatic sample applicator, Camag TLC Scanner 3, Camag twin-trough chamber (10×10 cm) and Camag CATS 4 software, As mobile phase Ethyl acetate: Toluene: Methanol: Ammonia (6:2.5:1.5:0.1%v/v) was utilized to develop the Chromatographic method. Lafutidinegave separation at Rf value of 0.45±0.03 and scanned at 273 nm. The calibration curve response was observed between 400-1400ng/spot. The linear regression data showed good linear relationship with R2 value of 0.99895. The method was validated in terms of repeatability, precision, accuracy, and specificity according to ICH guidelines. The LOD and LOQ were found to be 19ng/Spot and 59 ng/spot respectively. The developed method was successfully used for assay of Lafutidine in tablet...
