The objective of present study was formulation and evaluation of fast release tablets of Fexofenadine hydrochloride. Fexofenadine hydrochloride is an anti-histamine with selective H1-receptor antagonist activity. In this investigation fast release tablets of Fexofenadine hydrochloride were prepared using cross povidone as a superdisintegrants by melt technology method. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy revealed absence of any drug – excipient interactions. The tablets were evaluated for pre-compressed evaluation like bulk density, tapped density, Hauser’s ratio, Carr’s index and angle of repose and post-compressed evaluation like weight variation, thickness, hardness, friability, wetting time, disintegration time, content uniformity and in-vitro drug release profile. The wetting time for all batches was found in the range of 20.1 to 80.1 sec. All the tablets were disintegrated within 100 seconds. In-vitro percent drug release was found up to 98.25 % in 30 min. The formulation 4 showed better result in wetting time, disintegration time and drug release...

Glipizide is second generation Short acting sulfonylurea prescribed for treatment of type II diabetes Mellitus. It is with short biological half-life of 3.4 ± 0.7 hrs and metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine largely as inactive metabolites. The clinical and pharmaceutical analysis of drug requires analytical procedures along with pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data with stability study for any analysis of drug. In the present review we have compiled different published analytical methods for determination of glipizide in pharmaceutical methods. The table no 1 indicate Analytical method development and validation of single Glipizide drug by HPLC method; while table no 2 indicates Analytical method development and validation of glipizide with combination of other drugs by HPLC method. In the literature review table no 3 and 4 indicates Analytical method development and validation of glipizide as well as other drugs in combined forms by UV spectrophotometer. This literature review also involved tabulated information about various formulations available of glipizide along with their method of formulation and polymers used...

Sorghum is an important food source with substantial nutritional value. An in vitro antioxidant evaluation of different extractions of graniferous sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] hybrid Guanipa 71 was proposed here. Acetone / water extracts of both grains and brans revealed strong antioxidant properties by reducing Fe3+ (22.9% and 42.3%) and chelating Fe2+ (47.3% and 32.4%), respectively. Moreover, both extracts were found to inhibit the DPPH● radical, exhibiting an IC50 (μg/mL) of 31.34 and 36.48 respectively, as well as, to reduce Molybdate (VI) through the relative antioxidant capacity assay (IC50 of 330and 227.6μg/mL, respectively). They also inhibited the oxidative degradation of 2-deoxyribose (2-DR) provoked by the Fenton reaction by 29.60% and 17.77%, respectively. Furthermore, aqueous extracts of grains and brans chelated Fe+2 by 65.09% and 59.12% and inhibited the degradation of (2-DR) in the Fenton reaction by 17.18% and 10.67%, respectively. Overall, the results showed that the acetone / water extraction from the brans of sorghum showed the best antioxidant effects, via electron transfer, radical scavenging and metal chelating...

Let G(V,E) be a simple connected graph. For an edge e=uv, mu(e) is the number of edges lying closer to the vertex u than v, analogously define mv(e). The edge version of PI index of a graph G is defined as .Nano-structured TiO2 has been widely used in various applications such as biosensors, solar cells and biomaterials. Synthesis of nano-structured Titanium dioxide (TiO2) such as Nanotubes, Nano-wires and nano-fibers has raised interest lately due to their high surface to volume ratio and the ability of provoke a greater degree of biological plasticity compared to conventional microstructures. Nano-structured TiO2, has been widely used in various applications such as biosensors, solar cells, photocatalysis, phoelectrolysis and biomaterials. In this paper, we compute the edge-PI index of Titania Nanotubes...

In the present study we have done non-targeted analysis of extract from Hamelia patens Jacq. by GC/MS and estimated the inhibitory concentration (IC50) of the extract in three human tumor cell lines MCF-7, H-460 and SF-268. Hamelia patens is an herbaceous perennial plant of family Rubiaceae. Parts of the plant are used in Peruvian and Mexican folk-medicine. Dried leaves of Hamelia patens were extracted for alkaloid. The extract was named HPAE and the yield was 1.76% (w/w). Non-targeted GC/MS analysis of HPAE was performed using Shimadzu QP 2000 GC, equipped with a ULBON-HR-5 capillary column and mass spectrometer as detector. The cancer cell lines were obtained from National Centre for Cell Science, Pune. In-vitro cytotoxic activity of HPAE on cancer cell lines were conducted by MTT assay. The GC/MS analysis of the HPAE enabled the identification of 44 compounds and IC50 of HPAE in MCF-7, H-460 and SF-268 were found to be 8.42 ± 1.16, 90.40 ± 18.48 and 91.47 ± 19.74 µg/ml, respectively. The HPAE was found to...
