Inflammation is considered as a biological response of the human body that counteracts harmful stimuli by activating different anti-inflammatory cellular signaling pathways to maintain good health and well-being. However, the persistence of inflammation in tissue or organ may lead to adverse chronic inflammatory responses resulting in diseases of chronic nature. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), glucocorticoids, and immune suppressants are widely used to minimize adverse responses mediated by inflammation. However, the development of detrimental side effects in long-term usage of these drugs has directed the scientific community towards identifying novel and safe plant-based anti-inflammatory agents. The plant-based novel drug discoveries involve in a wide range of preliminary in-vitro assessment methods. This article review the methods, principles, advantages and limitations of different assay procedures that have been widely used in evaluating anti-inflammatory properties. Aim of this review is to provide a guidance for identifying plant derived natural compounds with potential anti-inflammatory...

The growing emphasis on sustainable agriculture has intensified interest in organic inputs such as Jeevamrutham, a traditional fermented formulation derived from cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, pulse flour, and soil. This study aimed to assess the effect of Jeevamrutham on the cultivation of Basella rubra L., a nutrient-rich leafy vegetable of the Basellaceae family. Field experiments were conducted to evaluate changes in soil nutrient status, irrigation water quality, physiological parameters, photosynthetic pigments, and biochemical constituents. Post-treatment soil analysis indicated notable increases in available nitrogen and phosphorus, while potassium showed moderate improvement. In contrast, certain micronutrients zinc, iron, manganese, copper and boron exhibited a slight decline, suggesting selective nutrient utilization. Water quality parameters, including pH, electrical conductivity, and dissolved salts, remained within acceptable limits for agricultural use, indicating no adverse environmental impact. Morphological observations revealed improved vine length, leaf number, and leaf area in treated plants. Biochemical assays demonstrated significant enhancement in chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total carotenoids, carbohydrate content, and protein levels, indicating improved photosynthetic efficiency and nutritional quality....

This review article delivers an in-depth examination of the bioanalytical methodologies and associated patented innovations for antiviral and antibacterial drugs from 2015 to 2025. The rapid global spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19 and drug-resistant bacterial infections, has necessitated accelerated pharmaceutical advancements supported by robust analytical frameworks. The paper focuses on the critical role of HPLC and LC-MS/MS in drug quantification, pharmacokinetic profiling, and method validation aligned with regulatory guidelines such as ICH M10, FDA, and EMA. Incorporating over 75 references and numerous patents, the article highlights patented innovations in liposomal formulations, nanoparticle delivery systems, pediatric and mucosal dosage forms, and stability-enhanced oral/sublingual variants for drugs like Favipiravir, Remdesivir, Linezolid, Vancomycin, and Molnupiravir. Analytical strategies for matrix effect mitigation, microsampling techniques, AI-driven workflows, and challenges in harmonizing global validation standards are critically assessed. Future directions emphasize digital integration, pediatric drug development, and open-access repositories for analytical protocols and patent databases. This comprehensive perspective serves as a valuable resource for pharmaceutical scientists, regulatory authorities, and industry innovators in developing effective...

A novel, robust, and sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was successfully developed and validated for the quantitative determination of (S)-(-)-amlodipine-o, o-di-p-toluoyl-D-tartrate, a crucial chiral intermediate in pharmaceutical synthesis. The analysis was carried out on a reversed-phase C18 column using a mobile phase comprising acetonitrile and phosphate buffer (pH 3.0) in a 60:40 (v/v) ratio, delivered at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. Detection was performed at 237 nm using a UV detector. Method validation followed ICH Q2(R1) guidelines and confirmed the approach’s linearity, accuracy, precision, specificity, robustness, and sensitivity. The method exhibited excellent linearity within the concentration range of 0.5–100 µg/mL, with a correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.9998. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were found to be 0.15 µg/mL and 0.45 µg/mL, respectively. Precision results showed a relative standard deviation (RSD) of less than 1.5%, and recovery values ranged between 98.5% and 101.2%, indicating high accuracy. This validated HPLC method is well-suited for routine quality control and stability testing of (S)-(-)-amlodipine-o, o-di-p-toluoyl-D-tartrate in...

Background: Breast milk is known for its nutritional and immunological benefits, but its potential as a natural analgesic for infants is less explored. This review examines the analgesic properties of breast milk from both scientific and Ayurvedic perspectives. Objectives: To present modern scientific discoveries regarding breast milk’s analgesic potential, explore Ayurvedic perspectives on its healing properties, establish connections between contemporary and traditional knowledge, and highlight potential applications in pain management for neonates and infants. Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted using scientific databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect) and Ayurvedic sources (traditional texts, DHARA, ARP, ABIM). Keywords related to breast milk, analgesia, and Ayurveda were used to identify relevant studies and texts. Results: Scientific studies have identified bioactive compounds in breast milk with analgesic properties, including endogenous opioids, growth factors, and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Ayurvedic texts describe breast milk (Stanya) as possessing healing qualities beyond nutrition. Clinical studies demonstrate the efficacy of breastfeeding and expressed breast milk in reducing pain responses during medical procedures in neonates. Conclusion: The integration of...
