Diethylstilbestrol (DES) is an endocrine disturbing compound it can mimic and perform like a natural hormone, which mimics estradiol by binding to the estrogen receptor. This compound mainly reproductive target, so in this study used to induce endometriosis. Endometriosis is an estrone dependent constant gynaecological disorder. Here it, intends to induce endometriosis and treated by the MMP inhibitor to check whether it could attain the implantation or not. Hence the present study induces endometriosis by three different concentrations such as 10, 15 and 20 µg/kg body weight for 20 days at alternatively while to check the estrous cycle, hormonal regulation at 7th, 15th and 20th day also to record the body weight and reproductive organ weight from initial to final day of DES induction. Endometrial lesion developments were confirmed by anatomical observation. The above result reveals 20 µg DES induced group leads to endometrial cancer, so other 10 & 15 µg DES induced group carry out to further analysis. The endometrial lesions were treated by 10 µM concentrations of...

Cancer, the uncontrolled growth of cells, has been estimated as a major cause of death among human population. Although there are many potential drugs, a much effective bioactive drug with less side effects are still in its pioneer stage of research. The aim of the study was to isolate, purify and characterize the anticancer muscle protein from edible marine catfish, Tachysaurus dussumieri, so as to project it as an alternative medicine for cancer. The anticancer muscle protein was purified to its homogeneity from the edible marine catfish Tachysurus dussumieri through ammonium sulphate fractionation and ion exchange chromatography. Both partially purified crude fractions and isolated purified muscle protein were screened for its anticancer activity by MTT assay. The fraction III revealed prominent anti-cancer activity which was subjected to MALDI-TOF MS analysis for its molecular weight confirmation. Further, Peptide Mass Finger printing analysis (PMF) was executed to reveal its nature. To reconfirm its anticancer action, DAPI, PI staining and Comet assay were executed. The purified dimer having 13.285 kDa weight was...

A rapid, sensitive and reproducible HPLC method was developed and validated for the quantification of Ceritinib in rabbit plasma using PDA detector at wave length 264 nm. The method was developed using Dasatinib as internal standard (IS). Ceritinib is a selective and potent inhibitor of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) indicated in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The Ceritinib and Dasatinib were separated as symmetrical peaks on an analytical column ODS (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) column using a mixture of 75% phosphate buffer (pH 3.6) and 25% acetonitrile as mobile phase with a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The total chromatographic run time is 10.0 min with retention times for Ceritinib and Dasatinib at 7.630 min and 2.771 min respectively, no interferences from the endogenous plasma peaks is observed. The method is validated and linear calibration curves were obtained across a range of 0.002 – 0.2 µg/ml for Ceritinib with a correlation coefficient of 0.999. The coefficients of variation for intra-day and inter-day assays were...

Now a day’s establishing and sustaining competitive advantage depends on the effective development of Knowledge Absorptive Capacity (KAC) and innovations. This study evaluated the role of prior technical experiences in developing firm’s absorptive capacity and the contribution of this type of capacity to the firm’s innovation performance. In this study we designed a questionnaire to assess firms’ KAC and innovation performance. First, the validity and reliability of the questionnaire were assessed. The data were collected from owners/managing directors or research and development managers of 20 Iranian pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies. The following variables were measured: industrial and technical experiences of owners/managing directors and the members of research and development teams, KAC, innovation performance indices and control variables. The questionnaire had appropriate validity and reliability. The findings indicated that the breadth and the depth of the owner’s/managing director’s industrial experiences properly reflected KAC of a pharmaceutical company. In turn, the present research showed that the absorptive capacity of a firm could affect its innovation performance. Organizational strategic regeneration and innovation...

The present work was planned to study the effect of methyl parathion an organophosphate compound (OP) on biochemical contents of fresh water cat fish Heteropneustis fossilis. The exposure of fish to the sub-lethal concentrations of the toxicant methyl parathion was investigated and the variations were observed in biochemical contents in different tissues of the fish i.e. gill, liver, intestine, muscle and brain. The quantitative variations were observed in proteins, carbohydrates and ninhydrine positive substances at different time intervals i.e. 24, 48, 72 and 96 h. The results revealed that the components of proteins, carbohydrates and ninhydrine positive substances were found to be decreased significantly at different time intervals of methyl parathion exposure to different tissues of fish compared to control. The maximum decrease in proteins followed by ninhydrine positive substances (free amino acids) and carbohydrates was observed at 72 h and 96 h compared to 24 h and 48 h in different tissues of the fish H. fossils. Thus, our present investigation reports that the changes observed were depending...
